Ehh, I remember Jones punking French and he beat up Mendecess.

I also remember Cam being the one that Tru life physically put hands on and nothing happened.

Cease got them jumped, and it ended up just being Jones, cuz he was the only one scrapping. And apparently, cease lied and said he punched Cam, but Cam is cool with him. 😆 Cam looking bad in this, but he has a whole new audience that is gonna swallow that bs.

Jones tried taking too much credit in that interview tho. Cam sonned him on that end. He could've stopped there but he wanted to play comedian

I wasn't ready for the cut to Michael Irvin:dead:

I dont think mihael irvin was either :skip:

None of those people put hands on Cam'ron....

The people he's talking about with Jim Jones all put hands on him or they had some sort of physical altercation

The jay thing led to Tru life punching cam.

nothing you said proves anything I am well aware of all of these statistics, leveling up on cam would mean he surpassed him or sold more records, the argument isnt whether or not cam fell off in popularity the argument is whether or not jim became bigger than him, which he didnt.. not even at the peak of ballin was he selling more than cam

cam put jim and juelz in a position where even tho he was the boss, they stood beside him and looked like equals, which is why juelz sold more than cam by his second album and nobody batted an eye, but with jim yall treat it like it's tony yayo catching up to 50 cent in sales and 50 never seen it coming and became bitter because of it

and there was a period in 08 where jim was the most visible and active member, if u wanna say he became the face by default because of that, sure, even tho ur wrong.. but either way he did a horrible job representing dipset as the face if thats what u wanna call it, hanging out with 50, being blamed by hell rell as the reason dipset broke up, getting aired out by jha jha, and turned into a punchline by max b

we're sitting here comparing nikkas selling 40k first week in 2009... BOTH of them were fukking washed regardless of him squeezing out that one last hit that he stole from ron browz

if cam's lowpoint is jim's peak I think that speaks for itself for how overstated his so-called level up was

:russell: I repeat….

If I fight Floyd and he barely beats me in 12, ngga i won

This is not jay vs Nas. These nggas are apples and oranges talent wise. So the fact we even having a discussion, regardless of tge side you stand on, means Jim ‘Leveled up’ on Cam. Bc he’s nowhere NEAR as talented, funny, charismatic pause, etc as Cam. Yet here we are 36 pages later talking about Jim jones in 2025.

I question when some of yall were introduced to Dipset. :childplease:Some of you the ages don’t even match up nggas was 10 during prime Dipset and these formulaic analytical takes reflect that. Bottom line Jim was the ‘who tf is that wild Spanish lookin Ngga with the perm throwing money’ random dude. The fact he he went from that to in some way shape or form being close to Cam in fame/standing/sales/cHaRtS = a W for Jim

Lol @ Jim Jones stans.

Nggas corny tho.

Up until a year or so ago you wouldn’t even know to ‘not like’ Jim. How are you a Dipset/cam fan but can magically flip on Jim jones? Even with the lil cold war, they were on each others most recent albums :gucci: Also there was a video of them chilling together a year ago (lookin awkward)

Also if that’s the case how are nggas listening to IIWII?!? Cam violated Mase WAY worse than he just did Jim

Dumbass comparison, this isnt a regular nobody boxing the greatest boxer of all time.. its two nikkas in the same group who had been strategically placed as peers by the leader because the leader wanted to elevate him to that status and eventually paid off until one nikka started feeling himself and split away.

I literally grew up on Dipset, had Diplomatic Immunity and all the mixtapes in REAL TIME. Jim Jones might have been looked at as the random crazy looking nikka during the Confessions and SDE days(and even then he was featured on both albums).. but by the Dipset era starting in 02-03 everybody knew who Jim Jones was because Cam was pushing his members.

Even if he wasn't as popping and Juelz and Cam at that point, he still had his own influence, a lot of people in NYC was influenced to join a gang because of him, nikkas were using "kufi smack" as slang because of him, Crunk Muzik and Certified Gangstas are Dipset staples and those were the 2 singles from his debut album. You acting like this nikka was Freekey Zekey status and he wasn't.
