fukk does that have to do with analyzing and knowing who the better rapper/artist is?
You don't see cause you didn't read :snoop:

DMX shined most in freestyles and posse cuts when he would spaz the fukk out lyrically. Me and @Cladyclad have said this before, but there's a certain type of MCing that X did that Pac didn't when it came to rapping. X was a battle MC at heart, that showed skill in a different capacity. Even when Pac got lyrical, it wasn't in the same MCing type of way that X did. X was a rappers rapper. All the MCs say the same thing. Even Kane said it on Drink Champs.
dmx def has an "MC" type of vibe in some of his music but he isn't a great lyricist at all - not even close.

You're wrong and that's okay.
Okay, educate me then.
What bars are we talking about? How many quatables does he have? Which lyricist in any decade he's been active, was he competing with at a high level?

I honestly believe Pac could give X a run for his money lyrically.

We have to factor in Pac’s career being cut short but in 1996 during those Makaveli sessions he was evolving and his lyrical ability was getting stronger.

Heads up freestyling? I’ll take X all day but if they hypothetically did a song together I think Pac would hold his own.:hubie:

this is what u said
:mjlol: nikkas love to exaggerate a 90s NY rapper specifically in a Pac vs NY rapper ________ topic

The truth is many people said, which I always believe that he was no more than a mediocre or maybe a slightly below average MC
and that wasn’t just what people were saying in the streets you can look at magazines like ’the source’ and many other hip-hop publications, or DJs/other hip hop personalities that mostly felt that way

dmx was definitely a better rapper then pac
Listen to his first album.

Way more range, top shelf lyricism, stories, creativity. I mean he had indepth conversations with both God and the Devil on there lol.

Pac made more timeless music tho. Dmx burned out early cause of da drugs

There is no way you could say DMX had more range than Pac. Pac is literally the textbook of rappers attempting to make the girl song, the socially conscious song, the club song, the introspective song all on the same album to varying degrees of success. Pac did it effortlessly.

While we're at it. 7 Day Theory is pretty much the template for an album like IDAHIH. It has this dark, mystical vibe to it with religious themes and ideologies. Pac was more lyrical on 7 Day Theory than X on IDAHIH.

Pac was one of the first rappers to be vulnerable on a track. Pac's life was an open book because he made it that way in his music.

Pac was one of the 1st rappers to do that. To say X has more range is crazy.

Everyone took something from Pac after he died including DMX.
