As I've stated plenty of times, I don't really think they're that similar for them always be compared. X was a battle MC at heart, Pac was a socially conscious MC at his core.

Grand Champ was the end of X's run and thats his fifth joint. Where the hood at is one of his most iconic songs and thats from that album. He also had underated gems on that joint like Shot Down

Grand Champ was better than The Great Depression to me. I love all 5 albums but the first 3 are the ones people remember the most.

X was known for battling and that's why Cam and Mase have a different level of respect for him. Guys from that era are going to appreciate a rapper's rapper.

Pac didn't come up in that lane. He wasn't someone who was running around getting busy. Outside of the studio he's not known for his pen.

This is what I was explaining. The 4th and 5th aren’t revered as full bodies of work like that. And that’s not even my opinion because I love all his first 5. But nikkas is buggin wit this Pac vs X shyt. Because for one. Before X died. NOONE was putting him over Pac in an all time list. Now that he passed. I keep seeing the comparisons. X is not revered to the world the way Pac is. He’s just not. Pac had the Pope quoting him. That’s just different. It’s starting to become like when people would compare Cormega to Nas. (X is WAY bigger than Cormega but I’m making a point). The only GOAT rapper Cormega would EVER get compared to is Nas and that’s because of their history. It’s not a legitimate comparison. This is happening with X and PAC to a lesser extent. Because X DOES belong on a top 10 list imo.
