It was a minor hit.It was HUGE lol! Foxy was also on Touch Me Tease Me. Anyone that was around back then will tell you Ain't No was a big hit & with the Nutty Professor soundtrack behind it, it got pushed further
Case was huge

I don't even know how you can say that lolIt was a minor hit.
Case was huge
I was alive at the time too.I don't even know how you can say that lol
X was the better MC imo, Pac was the better artist
As I've stated plenty of times, I don't really think they're that similar for them always be compared. X was a battle MC at heart, Pac was a socially conscious MC at his core.
You might have a point if it was just radio......But this video was a part of the soundtrack & was pretty big. You're downplaying the impact to meI was alive at the time too.
I take it both you and Fresh are NY area, I was in the south and midwest in the 90s.
What you all thought was big in NYC wasn't the same for us
Jay was irrelevant natinonally in 94-97
Stop with rewriting history.
OUtside folks in NYC no one knew who the hell he was or cared.
Until movie soundtracks and big pimpin he was a regional act.
If a dude from the west picks Pac why isn’t that “west coast bias”?Some of these nikkas here see NY & then immediately go to the bias bullshyt. You've been around long enough to know lol
Grand Champ was the end of X's run and thats his fifth joint. Where the hood at is one of his most iconic songs and thats from that album. He also had underated gems on that joint like Shot Down
What could x do that pac couldn't?
nikkas saying pac wasn't as versatile when he could go from same song to Brenda's got a baby to I get around to dear mama to ambitionz as a ridah to i aint mad at cha to hail mary![]()

It's weird bro lol. Most of us have said the same thing for years; especially @splizIf a dude from the west picks Pac why isn’t that “west coast bias”?
Every region favors their own to an extent yet people only bytch and moan about it when people from NY do it
Maybe cuz he was exclusively shytting on some of New Yorks “greats” that of course ppl from New York would have a bias .. y’all can’t be that dumb to not understand that right? If a dude from the west picks Pac why isn’t that “west coast bias”?

This is what I was explaining. The 4th and 5th aren’t revered as full bodies of work like that. And that’s not even my opinion because I love all his first 5. But nikkas is buggin wit this Pac vs X shyt. Because for one. Before X died. NOONE was putting him over Pac in an all time list. Now that he passed. I keep seeing the comparisons. X is not revered to the world the way Pac is. He’s just not. Pac had the Pope quoting him. That’s just different. It’s starting to become like when people would compare Cormega to Nas. (X is WAY bigger than Cormega but I’m making a point). The only GOAT rapper Cormega would EVER get compared to is Nas and that’s because of their history. It’s not a legitimate comparison. This is happening with X and PAC to a lesser extent. Because X DOES belong on a top 10 list imo.No one brings up Dmx albums after his first 3 except for a few songs on each .. same thing you said bout pac right?
its no about random cyphers lol
yall keep movin da goal posts
Dmx can do things on songs that pac can't from a lyrically perspective.
its as simple as that
Exactly and I love DMX but putting him over Pac is crazy lmao… everybody is entitled to their own opinion but be seriousThis is what I was explaining. I literally seen someone quote you and said well if Dmx loved his mom he could’ve made dear mama.. I’m telling y’all shyt get weird when pac get mentionedWhat did DMX do lyrically that Pac couldn't/didn't do?
I'm still waiting for someone to drop DMX's equivalent of "Keep Ya Head Up", "Brenda's Got A Baby" or "Dear Mama".
