I know Drift0r was saying that the maps aren't the three lane model but more based on "realism" so there's a lot of clutter and objects around. He compared them to the maps in Ghosts. I hope that's not the case.

It is also worth noting that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have full cross-play with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, and Multiplayer Design Director Joe Cecot delved into how exactly that will work with DualShockers. “We’re going to be matchmaking by peripheral, so if you’re a keyboard player you’re going to play with other keyboard players. But, if you’re a console player and you’re playing on a gamepad you can actually opt in…We also don’t let you change your controller or peripheral mid-match, so once you’ve chosen it, it’s locked in.”

Hyperbole. People hated it when it first came out because of the advanced movement but every subsequent COD that came out after it, there's always a wave of new appreciation for IW. It was the most disliked video on YouTube when the trailer dropped and became the game people loved to hate but only BO3 was better so far and that's subjectively.

It's not the lowest selling and people don't "always" do it 3yrs later, 3 games later. I don't care how it's rated because that's a reflection of when it dropped. We already know people hated it BEFORE it dropped just from the trailer. That's a reflection of just how biased people were over a game they had yet to play. Nevermind the fact that it won best shooter that year by Game Informer and IGN I think. Every subsequent year a new cod comes out, there's a large sentiment afterwards of "you know, IW was actually pretty good". That's not typical of games this many years later. BO4 has only moved a couple 100k units more than IW despite all the favorable hype it had. And I know IW is a couple years older and BO4 already passed it but I guarantee you it doesn't push more than a million units more than IW in it's life cycle. It's already over for BO4. That fall off was steep for a game that was so highly regarded. That should tell you just how much public perception doesn't match the product when it came to IW. MW dropping will make BO4 obsolete in a way that we haven't seen in a COD before. At least not in this gen. I've yet to come across, read a review or see a YouTube channel of a top level gamer (Master Prestige 10+) call IW garbage. The only ones I've personally seen say it have been people who aren't that good in the first place and therefore, opinions aren't valid.
