So this actually works?:ohhh:
Or do you need to have a certain body type to see results?

you can do it with any body type. since you are new you should start off small and work your way up.

it'll take hardwork, consistency, patience, to put on muscles. that means you'll be sore af when you wake up and you have to eat three meals a day to feed your muscles. double your calorie intake too

@Originalgangsta317 I have a question triple OG? if I want to increase my chest size with calisthenics, what body workout besides pushups I can do to increase my chest ratio? do I have to do 300+ advance chest pushups? also what do you do for abs?

note: going to be doing all body weight work out for a month

Doctor said no calesthetics or weight lifting but I can do aerobics. :shaq2:I've been doing some clean eating these last two months got me down 10 pounds(That Popeyes keeps calling me:mjcry:) but I sneak in some dips every other day as "therapy" so I can stay active. If I can keep up this diet and get back to normal, next year going to be a problem with this regime. :banderas:

This was another question I had. Is there a link or thread that can tell me what kind of diet plan I can follow to help with that?

Push-ups are the only thing I can think of,but there are a bunch of different ways you can do push-ups,also you could get a weight vest and do them to add extra weight.

Best thing that I did for my chest that made it grow like crazy was doing a whole deck of cards twice a week for 4 months straight along with hitting push-ups the other days, that blew my chest up,before I got to weights.

For abs I do planks,sit-ups,6 inches and Romanian twist 10 minutes non stop

Y'all watch the barstars on YouTube?

The pull-up bar and dips stand came in today :blessed:

I'm putting the weights down for a while and just doing this for some months brehs

What do you think of this routine? @Originalgangsta317

:mjlol: at you believing him

Been doing a heavy weightlifting full body workout combined with this calisthenics routine for the past 2 months, and gains been out of this world crazy :blessed:

Folks been accusing me of taking roids (best compliment to get) :banderas:

At the gym I'd do:
Barbell Squat, Bench Press, Row, military Press, Deadlift, Cleans, Close-Grip Bench, Curls

At home I'd do @Originalgangsta317 routine

My routine went like this:
Monday: Heavy gym workout
Tuesday: og317 routine
Wednesday: Heavy gym workout
Thursday: og317 routine
Friday: Heavy gym workout
Saturday: og317 routine

Managed to put on mass AND lose bodyfat simultaneously

Gains galore!!! :whew:

Outchea looking like a nubian GAWD :ohlawd:
In just 2 damn months? :damn:

I hurt my shoulder so upper body is a no for the next week but I'm going to do this for one year straight, Can't wait to see my final results :whoo:.

Pinched nerves got me on the sideline with the workouts but I've lost some weight and I'm at 179 now due to clean eating. :ehh: My folks bought me some Popeyes though. :patrice::mjlol:

Started my

Pushups(incline/level/decline)
squats
pullup/chinups
calf raises
dips

Routine on 7/4 I do 10 of each before moving on to the next exercise for 30 minutes. I rotate the pushups, and pullup/chinups. The first day I did 18 sets. So 180 of each besides the splits.
Yesterday I did 30 sets so I hit 300. Which was my goal. Next goal is 350. I do this Mon/Wed/Fri. Sun/Tues/Thus is Abs/Cardio. Sat. 12 miles cycling.

I've had people give me the :ehh: watching my workout.

Hardest part for me are the dips after about the 200 mark. shyt is scressful

@Originalgangsta317 I have a question.

Do I have to reset my count when I change hand positions or does 11 close grip, 11 regular grip, and 11 wide grip still count as 33 pushups?

Here's what I mean:

For pushups, I try to target all areas of the chest so that my chest looks full and balanced. Low, middle and high as well as close, regular and wide.

So, I do close grip, regular grip, wide grip. Then I do high close grip, high regular grip, high wide grip (this is similar to doing incline barbell presses.) Then I do lower close grip, lower regular grip, lower wide grip.

If I were to do 33 pushups in the same hand position it would be harder, but when I switch hand positions (close, regular and wide) it targets other areas of the chest so its not as hard.

Should I reset my count when I change my hand position?

shyt ain't no punk

I'm finally beginning to get the 4 sets of 100 in 30 mins with my calisthenics workout, props to @Originalgangsta317!

Seeing some improvements. Fitness also improving somewhat but it still needs some work.

On the days I lift weights I go light to medium with more reps tbh. I'm done with heavy lifting.

imma give this a try within the next week or so, looks fun and i'm always up for a challenge. good looks @Originalgangsta317

Would you go for extra protein in your diet with this routine? Losing motivation hard, i might get in on this to freshen thing up.

Hopped back on your routine since my car was totalled and cant make it to the gym. At the moment im only alternating 2 moves cause im working 12 hour shifts all of august and dont wanna burn the eff out.

Yesterday i did 10 sets of 25 pushups and 12 sets of 6 pull ups in 30 minutes and im dead

:mjcry:

Getting a good stretch and some rest from this overnight shift and hit dips and squats today

yo, i think im going to jump back into body weight exercises to see if i can push more weights in the near future.

would this be a good start?

200-300 push ups
100 pull ups
100 crunches
100 dips
100 body squats

how long and how many days should i do this for? should i do this for a month then jump back to weights or do a mixture of both heavy weights and body weights for a month?

also what would you recommend for a good cardio workout for beginners?

This is me currently at 205 this was recorded a few weeks back.

I'm gonna make my own thread and post all my workouts in them within the next 2 weeks, start giving y'all some content.

Gonna start doing this workout once my elbow fully heals as well.

Been a little rough on the elbow and shoulder joints for your boy :patrice: Desk job life. But results have been pretty good otherwise. Elbow bandage has been helping out though.

have you ever stretch for 20-30+ minutes before you engaged in any physical workout? you should try swimming to alleviate your joint problem. alot of old heads I know told me that yoga helps them out with their joint problems.

@Yusuke

don't know what to tell you bro. all I eat is baked chicken, brown rice, baked Salomon fish, alooooot of greens (kale, spinach, broccolis, salad etc). then a lot of fruits and nuts. plus a gallon of water a day. that's like dinner and for breakfeast. some scramble eggs, boiled eggs, sausage, nuts, fruits, oat meals, and water. lunch I sometimes eat a home made chicken sandwich, some fruits, raisins and nuts, water, etc.

you have to do extensive research if you really want a nice body. it's very important to learn about your diet and body. cut the sweets and fast food.

google and YouTube is your friend. also you can create a thread if you need more advice.
