weights are fine, but it's just so much more convenient to be able to workout wherever and whenever you feel like it. as far as the app goes, i think the basic version is free, but you have to pay if you want to use all of it's features.Ima check it out.
But I don't knock weights at all,because I lift,but I'm trying to encourage/show guys that you don't need weights to get big,strong and in shape
This calisthenic workout is giving you strength,size and endurance all in one

go in depth about your routine, like how many reps/sets and the rest period between eachfukk no breh lol
Sets of 10 for pullups
Sets of 15 for Dips
And Pushups go 33,34,33,33,34,33
Then when that becomes easy add more reps as mentioned above but the time always remains at 30 mins
And don't be scared to do it breh,them weights ain't going nowhere

i might ditch powerlifting and go into calisthenics
right now i'm at a 585 dl, 415 squat, and 275 bench
I've been using no weights since forever . I'm a cyclist also. Saw this dude fresh outta prison walking around with no shirt . Legs looked like twigs me and my cyclist buddies were laughing
this is b/s you can't have a strength competition starting with bench pressing.....
I bet if they started with deadlifts the results would have varied...

I meant benching in general should have little to do with strengthNo,...
If you were doing clusters of compound exercises.
You would always start with a bench exercise.

There really is no rest.
This how it goes for me ima give you my routine last night.
I completed:
150 pullups
300 dips
250 Pushups
In 29 minutes 50 seconds
So I go to my pullup bar and do 15 pullups,go straight to my dip bar and do 30 dips,then go right back to the pullup bar and get 15 more pullups then go back to the dip bar and get another 30 dips.
Now I may be a bit winded so I might take a 6 second break then hop right back to doing pullups now I might get 8 take another quick breather and complete my 15 pullups.
Then back to the dips for 30 reps,but once again I might be winded so I might only get 20 reps,I take a quick breather then get the last 10 reps out.
Then continue that until I complete 10 sets of Pullups for 15 reps each,and 10 sets of Dips for 30 reps each,which equal up to 150 pullups and 300 dips.
Then I go straight to Pushups with no break and complete 250 in the following sets, 33,34,33,33,34,33,25,25
So I'm usually able to crank out them first 33 with no problem and the next 34,but will get a quick breather on the next sets.
But the thing is I don't expect everyone to complete it like me,some people will need breathers.
I also don't expect everyone to complete 150 pullups,300 dips and 250 Pushups in 29 mins. It takes time,which is why I told everyone to adjust the workout according to their fitness level and once the sets and reps you start at become to easy up the reps,but the time and sets will always stay the same.

I still go to the gym tho. This for when i feel like getting right at the crib or when I don't feel like driving to the gym.
I could add this little baby workout to my shyt and not get no results like lifting heavy.
I could see if we were locked, I feel you but real talk.
You gotta be lifting smart not hard.
My body would laugh at me for doing this shyt and I would get nuffin from this.
I do that little situp/crunch at least ten times that a workout.
I do more in a condensed than that.
Them dips and pushup not gon do me man but being tired and psyche you out without the harsh realities of being knocked to motivate you.
If you want some jailhouse shyt.
You best bet is to take the closed grip bench as a cutting based lift with a cluster compound of lifts benching.
Other than that, if you not knocked.
you can cut out the dips and pushups in life,...
Lift some weights and do crunches.
Past that fukk all that cardio shyt,...
We ain't running.
unless it's some zombies or to get cover to lay suppression.
