I don't have beef with boxing as a sport. Boxing is boxing. Fair enough.

However, I don't need to know boxing to see how limited it is in a real fight. Boxers always criticize MMA striking, ignoring the fact that in MMA you will get your head kicked off your shoulders or taken down to ground, if you try that technical boxing sh@t.

This is my only problem with boxing. Fans who fail to see that boxing is archaic when it comes to fighting, especially when professional boxers who tried MMA have said they didn't like getting kicked.

Look at people who like boxing the same as people who like golf. If that's what you like. Cool. But when you try to act like your athletes are superior, then I have to hit you with reality.

A boxer will get a spinning kick to the face fukking with somebody like Uriah Hall or Edson Barbosa. Kicks are more lethal than hands.

Has boxer ever caved in an opponent's skull the way MVP cracked Cyborg Santos' skull? That just shows the difference in lethality between boxing and MMA.

MMA is NOT a joke.

@patscorpio can we give him the early Ring WOAT and WOAT ROTY?

Even @Master Teacher couldn't believe the bullshyt that dude is going on about:mjlol:

@patscorpio @The Infamous take that WPOY tag off of @Master Teacher and give it too @mic_hell....breh earned it while MT didn't do anything in 2016 to warrant a 3rd straight year of the badge.:manny:

mic_hell just stormed the league and took over #1 in the power ranking with him even admitting he doesn't know Boxing...but yet he's in here arguing that the best Boxer of this generation would lose to a MMA fighter.....in a boxing match:wow:

Gotta co sign @Newzz this guy needs the 2016 badge, unless black jesus closes on a crazy streak.

Talking about feinting kicks in a boxing match to scare mayweather..........:mjlol:

Talking like boxers are afraid of getting kicked.........:heh:

As if Mayweather would be shook of McGregor...when McGregor can't even keep up with Chris Van Heerdan in a sparring match:dead:

(1) Don't weigh in the day of the fight. Weigh in. Re-hydrate. Then fight.
(2) Stop the fight when the fighter can no longer intelligently defend himself.
(3) Dude died because of poor regulations. Not because boxing is as lethal as MMA. My argument wasn't boxing isn't lethal. My argument is that boxing is not close to being as lethal as MMA.
In a real fight, somebody can try and do this to you, if you are a boxer and you don't KO him with the first few punches, would you like to get smashed like this on the concrete? :damn:

:whoa:Seriously breh just stop, you have no concept of the fundamentals of boxing or MMA. It'd be different if you posted logical arguments especially about understanding about distance in fighting and the science, but all your posts are rooted in stannery.

I think you need to stop posting. Why waste all those words when you clearly have nothing intelligent to say?

Did you watch the Ward versus Kovalev fight?

If you didn't let me put you on game. Ward was able to close the distance and clinch Kovalev with EASE. Now, Kovalev is lucky that in boxing, the referee is there to break the clinch, but in MMA Kovalev would going on a ride to the mat or getting slammed if someone like Gerald Harris was holding him in a clinch.

The point is boxing is limited. A professional fighter can close the distance on a boxer and hold the boxer in a clinch. If that boxer has no BJJ or wrestling, he loses the fight, plain and simple.

Watch the Ward versus Kovalev fight if you haven't. You did already, watch it again and this time use a fighter's brain (not a boxer's brain) to see how fighting is VERY different when all types of weapons are sanctioned.

Watch Shannon Briggs on the Joe Rogan and listen to his reason for not trying MMA again.

Y'all are the saying taking the elitists stance because you know you have zero reasonable counter arguments. Boxing is NOT fighting. Yes, you can beat a couch potato if you are trained boxer, but you better hope you don't start sh@t with a MMA fighter of the same caliber.

You will go to SLEEP, if you don't get the early puncher's chance KO.

nikka....this thread is about McGregor getting a BOXING LICENSE in efforts to lure Floyd out of retirement in a BOXING MATCH. Why the hell are you talking about "fighting", "street fighting", and MMA shyt???:dahell:

McGregor would, hypothetically, be taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr...the best BOXER of this generation...in a BOXING Match You don't see how ridiculous you sound acting as if McGregor would stand even a 1% chance of actually defeating the best in a sport that McGregor doesn't even compete in?:what:

McGregor got his ass whooped in sparring vs a D-Level Boxer who wasn't even going hard...how the hell do you suppose McGregor can do anything with Floyd Mayweather beats the hell out of me:mindblown:

@The Infamous come get your fellow MMA head breh:snoop:

Who is gonna be kicking a golden gloves boxer's ass in the street? Yeah we GET IT. If you're on top of the game in Brazilian Ju Jitsu, you could WHOOP anyone's ass from the examples I've seen over the last several years but people don't try those cats anyway.

You wouldn't try to make an easy $100M+ while winning a "guaranteed" boxing match?:mjlol:

The only reason to turn down money when your name is "money" is if you are not sure that things will actually go your way.

if the fight is so easy, why doesn't Mayweather just beat Conor easy pay, and that sets him up to beat Manny Pac, another easy pay.

If he is so untouchable, how can he not see this opportunity?:lolbron:
40 years old or not, McGregor doesn't have the speed and pressure knowhow to give Floyd any trouble. That's just how it is.
