How they gonna ban him from competeing ion another sport? What UFC has to do with pro boxing? :yeshrug:

His contract could have something where he has to give the ufc X amount of fights per year and him fighting eise where could cause him to get hurt and break his contract

Also he is a ufc fighter, the biggest one at the moment and as if he fights in boxing they would promote him as such and would need to use ufc logo and footage etc

you either a cac or a square with no hands and no fades under yo belt

MMA fighters "striking" is subpar to an amateur boxer.... and dont let the boxer use them small ass gloves...

nobodys talking about boxers tepping into the octagon , thats not fair . but a mma fighter in the ring IS fair....

Correct if I'm wrong but isn't fighting with small gloves more dangerous than boxing gloves?

I've seen boxers often get caught up against the ropes and use put there gloves up together to block shots, that wouldn't really be possible with small gloves

Why not wouldn't a boxer be in that position?

Are you saying that a boxer would punch harder only because he's a boxer?

Im saying an average boxer is an expert in hands while an average MMA fighter is okay with their hands

soon as he get cracked on his chin he grabbin

edit: shyt the average MMA fighter hands are poor. Did you see how Alvarez, a champion, got done?

MMA fighters usually better in grappling and wrestling than in boxing right?

I believe the majority of them comes from bjj, wrestling or judo background, for the simple reason that while talented boxers can earn huge money (possibly even more than with MMA) with boxing, bjj, judo and wrestling experts can earn more BY FAR with MMA if they make it big so they are more lkely to migrate to MMA.

and also most fighters with standing fight background in MMA come from kickboxing or muay-thai background where they rather put the emphasize on kicking and learn that better and while their punching technique is better than those who come from judo/bjj/wrestling, it's still not boxer level.

Correct me if I'm wrong tho causw I don't know MMA fighters that much I just think that's logical what I wrote so it must be true

This not Boxer vs Couch Potato.

This is Boxer vs MMA Fighter. My opinion is MMA Fighter wins.

Boxers are severely limited. Watching Ward vs Kovalev is proof in the pudding. How many times did Ward clinch Kovalev? :mjlol:

If you know BJJ and wrestling and you clinch a boxer, they are COOKED.:russ:

I respect boxers the same way I respect pool players. It is a skill that takes years of dedication, but you can compare it to real fighting like MMA.

Even Muay Thai and Kickboxers will beat the sh@t out of a boxer. A boxer will get a kick in the face. Why are boxers in DENIAL about this?:mindblown:
Lmao y'all so disrespectful

Naw. I trained Muay Thai and a lot of guys did mma too. We would learn CSW and JU Jutsu. Really I'd run it back and go to a JJ gym who taught at our school for a day and then I'd do open mat with the judo guys too. I might hop back into that I'm just nervous cuz I ain't rolled in a while. I have to get back in the gym

That's good, man, but why does that contradict my post?

Your initial statement was "MMA fighters usually better in grappling and wrestling than in boxing right?"

It doesn't contradict your post, it enlightens it because your assumption was that MMA'ers are usually better at grappling.

Muay Thai which is boxing, with more options, have students that do MMA and are better at boxing..

Um, I did muay thai, but grappling was enjoyable. I mean really if you doing MMA you should be doing everything whether it's wing chun or kali. But lemme not start. I need to get back in the gym first.

How many times did Ward clinch Kovalev though?:russ:I thought boxers were suppose to throw hands, and yet they always end up in a clinch, that the referee needs to break up (one thing that I have always hated about boxing, even when I used to be a fan, all that clinching when you are suppose to be throwing hands).

The clinch is an important part of fighting, if you don't KO your open with the first few punches, guess what? You will end up in the clinch, and there won't be a referee to separate you.

What do you do if all you know is boxing, and a strong wrestler has you in a clinch?:sas2:

Clinching is part of boxing....

clinching aint shooting for a takedown......
