It's going to be hard saying no to The GOAT QB, that Vegas weather and a ridiculous bag.
Not to mention, I'm sure Brady is light-years ahead in terms of forward thinking and how a modern day NFL organization needs to operate compared to the Bears brass.
I bet most of the Bears/Johnson interview consisted of Kevin Warren glazing him beyond belief along with car salesman tactics around a new stadium that isn't breaking ground anytime soon and Bears history instead of talking football
Las Vegas has terrible weather. Just because its always fukking hot doesn't mean its good. one of the worst cities ive ever visited.

this is what worries me the most and Im sure Ben Johnson realizes the value in it
Man... The whole, "we're casting a large and wide net" mentality is a hard sell for me because they did this with their OC search and it proved to not be effective.
it just feels like that approach can leave us in the dust on the high end candidates - Raiders are going to Ben Johnson telling him that hes their guy, they want to build around him and give him any/every thing he needs --- and we still have like 6-7 preliminary interviews scheduled and a candidate pool of nearly 15
Ryan Poles is going to be clicking through slides on a Power Point while George talks about going to games when hamburgers were 5 cents and how being a good man is more important than being a good coach then go to Oak Brook for dinner.
Brady about to have Lady Gaga perform for Ben's wife at the dome while using some crazy tech to talk about offensive game plans, tell him he can pick the GM and how they're going to work to make Vegas great.
Exactly. I posted about how unserious it looks a few pages back. They've had months to vet and gather intel on what they want in their next coach.
Imagine how much a billion dollar company's stock price would drop if they knew they needed to replace their CEO for months and are publicly interviewing more than 10 people to fill the vacancy
This is the fukking NFL. There's only 32 HCs in the WORLD, they need to run this organization like it's a rare billion dollar franchise. Just interviewing people for the exercise and with such a wide range in expertise and experience just shows a lack of vision and direction. It's ridiculous.
Then there socials are announcing when they've conducted interviews, the reactions and comments are hilarious
Ya'll tweaking. This team is perpetually goofy but imagine they DON'T land BJ for w/e reason and they only interviewed a couple people. then folks would be mad like they didn't do a thorough search or have backup plans. I think it can't be ignored you literally can't even hire dude till possibly after the super bowl

You operate like a business, not a HS team. Hell, some HS teams have more foresight into succession planning than what the Bears have shown.
If Ben Johnson is their guy, then they show conviction and rollout the red carpet and go get him. Obviously, you have other options, but you have a SELECT few, not all these random mfers.
Plus they JUST did this when they landed on Waldron, so what are we really talking about?
