Now that the fighting has died down....anyone talking about why California got this far first and what other states could do to replicate it? What happened in Cali that made them lead the way on at least discussing reparations seriously before anyone else did?

I think it had something to do with the ados chapter out there

they were the ones really pushing for this

Yup. It was. The group who helped draft and get it passed all initially came from ADOS. Tone and Yvette - actually helped with the bill in the initial stages.

Since ADOS, other groups that serve the same purpose and support ADOS initiatives but not the founders - have started local groups.

And most states if not all have ADOS or other once affiliated ADOS chapters in the states working to draft and lobby for reparations bills.
