Here is the recommended criteria:

Economist William Darity Jr.:

An individual would have to demonstrate that they have at least one ancestor who was enslaved in the United States.

An individual would have to demonstrate that for at least 12 years before the enactment of a reparations program, the individual would've had to have self-identified as black, Negro or African American.

Yes, them.

But there are other families that got went from mulatto to octaroon to white.

I was asking if these white descendants should qualify.

I don't think they should and requiring them to prove their own race via birth certificates and census information would be a remedy to that.

If we do it strictly on genealogy, though,. undoubtedly there will be Whites that get it too

No. If Baracks family has been WHITE all this time -- and just because one of the Whites had a child with a Black man from Kenya. Doesn't make him AA. His enslaved line became WHITE.

Drake most like has dual citizenship his dad is from the states

If he is a U.S. citizen and has a US Birth Certificate that says BLACK/NEGRO and has lived in the US for the last 12 years before the enactment of the reparations program.

Respect is given until otherwise is shown. Message received:ehh:

You could've easily provided clarification on your point but resorted to name calling like the mental midget head assed bytch you are. And Jewish people were already running banks of all things, but your take is just give a generation money for centuries locked out of wages and industry and if they blow it, "that's on them"-- jUsT mAkE sUrE tHe imMigRaNts dOn'T gEt iT
full

And STILL didnt straight up answer a yes or no question. :mjlol::dead: fukking ridiculous

How many Africans were able to immigrate here post slavery? I'd have to imagine that the number is so small that's it's probably not even worth the effort of finding out. If you can trace ancestors back atleast 120 years with no signs of any immigrants then I think you should qualify. I dont think we have the records to prove who's ancestors were actually slaves but we should be able to tell who immigrated here within the last century. It's not like black immigrants were flooding the U.S. before that point anyways.

That's exactly the argument. But plenty of people came over from Cuba, Jamaica and the West Indies.

It won't be tribes -- because by the time our ancestors were emancipated most were 2-3 generations deep. So, they would have been through so much -- and mixed with all different tribes and countries.

Remember, when they got here -- none of that tribe and African country stuff mattered. They became one with one another -- hence making our ethnic group.

Also, we will have so many ancestors - remember maternal and paternal side - so most will know by state and county.

For instance, the surname WARD and JACKSON is in my family - both out of Alabama. But, both surnames had multiple plantations in Alabama and in other states.

They started with the oldest WARD in - then he passed down more to his sons and they opened more plantations and so on...

Joshua John Ward - Wikipedia

One of his sons enslaved an arm of my family.
