The american power nexus that established the country had more admiration for the Greeks than the average white person (european or otherwise) does. I think that's where the confusion is here.

Greek Architecture, rules of governance and idioms are all through America's shyt. That's why we associate it with "white" people. Indeed, what I've been trying to say. And you're right, Greeks, Italians, Portuguese and Spaniards have been (and are still are in places) discriminated against by North-Western european countries. That's why for me as a half-Euro who has lived on the continent for 20 years these threads are funny when brehs assume that Europeans are all the same.

It's funny because Americans (White and Black) took over the "Greeks are homo" xenophobic prejudice (as I saw in the earlier replies) yet somehow don't think about where it came from (hint : Northern Euros). I offer a small experiment for you fellas to try in real life. I have done it, as I study human behavior in my free time and I have stumbled upon predictable results.
- In conversation with a Cac...decieve by commenting on "exotic look" and ask "are you mixed or what ethnic makeup are you?" if you don't mind me asking. It does two things immediately.
1. You have endowed them with sense of snowflaking, they are apparently visably different. Complimented. No cac wants to be ordinary.
2. You will gain a glimpse into what type of cac this is.
2a- A cac who is proud of a varied heritage that includes cultural deviation and noticable specificity "accuracy" of lineage.
2b- A cac who will associate with a historically "notable" nation state such as "german, russian, etc" attempts to associate with "power" even mention Viking ancestry....more prominent lately as there have been a few Netflix series greatly revising/that specific culture...so it's cool now.

It's fascinating. Especially an American "non-recent" immigrant european person.
