This. Especially if she works at a small, privately owned place. I work in advertising/marketing. This is nothing new to me.

It's hard as a person of color, specifically black there. Everywhere you turn you are forced with the decision of either A) Not blackin out on your coworkers and letting shyt slide but keeping your paycheck or B) keeping it all the way real and being viewed as the angry black person.

shyt is crazy out here. but it's helped me realize in corporate there really is only two cultures: White culture and black culture. All other races and ethnicities will side with white culture when given the chance.

Tell sis to play the game, stack her paper and use it as a stepping stone to move on somewhere more diverse.

You can emotionally disarm anybody by getting them to talk about themselves and pretending to listen, while occasionally giving them small irrelevant details about yourself.
I also recently got hip to social cues, like having a coffee present will signal that you're "tired" and not up for anything other than small talk

A job I had a few years back.... the first few years I didn’t really reveal shyt!

Years later, I learned from this chick that I later started fukking. She told me that for a minute some of the ladies in the dept thought I was gay, just cuz for the fact I wasn’t up in all their faces flirting or trynna get at them. Plus I curved quite a few of them.

But back then...... I had came off being fired from a previous job on some dumb shyt and after not having a job for a few months, when I landed there, I was just trynna get my shyt together and walk the line straight.

Plus practically every lady in that dept was mud ducks

Some old enough to be my mom or aunt. I wasn’t trynna fukk in my dept or fukk with them like that.

I worked for a HUGE Company and fukked some of the women in other depts. But took me about 4 years till I smashed someone in my dept.

That was funny, she told me that literally after sex as she was laying on my chest

It irks them when they can’t find out anything about us. Cacs legit get mad over that shyt. She said that a lot of them work from like 7am until 7pm. She always leaves at 4. One day one of them was being passive aggressive and said “leaving so soon?” And she said “yep”

since that day They be trying to give her extra work so that she has to stay but she still leaves at 4 regardless of what they give her to do. I think she’s going to lose it soon lol.

It ain’t really her fault but the fukked up thing is she probably fukking it up for the next black person that tries to apply.

HR might develop a bias now and pass up qualified black candidates citing that they don’t think they’ll fit in with the group based off the history they’ve had with black employees.

I’m a foodie a bit so every now and again I bring up a new food spot that’s opened in the city.

They LOVE that shyt. Sports, food, alcohol, travel, outdoor shyt will have you at the top of the food chain.

I personally don’t have a problem being social and friends with my coworkers. All of us already have a shyt ton in common, went to the same colleges, and live damn near in 1 mile square radius of each other so we are already hitting each other up going to bars, sports games, and brunch together. We travel and all that shyt. Co-worker just invited me up to their family’s cottage at the Huron Mountain Club, this exclusive as shyt summer colony on the Upper Peninsula.

It’s all a game. And because most of us are tokens, we have to remember that we paving the lane for other blacks that come after us and our fukk ups become their fukk ups, which isn’t fair, but just the reality. So you play the game.

This does sound believable. Next to Indians (fresh or domesticated ones), white women are the WOAT to work with. The nosiest c*nts in existence. Their passive aggressiveness. Their over emotional behavior.

They have to know every single detail that’s going on. Non-white women are generally cool but man... I can see why many white husbands murder their wives.
