Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Trash. Couldn't get past 30 seconds. If I ever heard the song then I don't remember and never bothered to ask anyone around me "dude, what song is this, it's fire".
Cacs always over rate songs from their musicians. See post malone, beastie boys, Elvis, Eminem, madonna, etc
except i'm black and they literally scream hotel california the whole hook.. i didn't rate it a damn thing.. i just said you most likely heard it from some source... 30 seconds is still hearing it.

Yep lol. You go to the beach and hang out somewhere you’re heading it.. You go to the mall... you heading it. That song is everywhere

and that's all i was saying.. shyt outsold mike in america back in 1999... yet people walking around telling me they haven't heard one damn song?? shyt i couldn't name 2 beatles songs, but i'm not gonna walk around acting like I never heard yellow submarine on tv or somewhere

I always thought it was about what happens when you're in a horror movie-type situation. You hear the door slam, you hear the footsteps. You know this evil, disgusting thing is coming to finish you off and there's nothing you can do about it. A beast, an alien, a forty-eyed monster. It's all the same. You have to do what you can to save your life, but at the end of the day, your death is inevitable.

But Rod Temperton wrote it so I don't know how Michael looked at it. :manny:
I always interpreted it was about paranoia

I just find it ridiculous for you all to look @ ppl funny because they've never heard of a popular group. This just isn't the type of music I came up on or listen to.

But I guess you learn something new every day. And this thread sure is an eye opener. :mjpls:
I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. People can live in the same city and have completely different cultural frames of reference.

Chi-Town to Tampa
So that means you HAVE heard a song from them, right? :ehh:

That was my point. Now shut the fukk up and move along
More feelings caught. :snoop: Do you though breh...
Certain shyt is supposed to be general knowledge though.
Imagine if you came across someone who had never heard of Al Pacino.
I see what you mean. :ehh: I guess I'm just out the loop with this one because I have literally never heard of them until this thread.

People aren't acting.....You throwing out these song titles like they're supposed to mean a damn to the general black population.

What the fukk is a yellow submarine? I can say i never heard that shyt. But if you link it and i listen to it, maybe i have...but just name dropping some shyt like yellow submarine like its supposed to ring bells like "beat it"?.....nope

People love putting white musicians on a pedestal. They want a pat on the back for listening to white rock. Pathetic.
"I listen to more than just Hip Hop and R&B" :mjpls:

I've heard that from bedwenches and c00ns many times.

I don’t even have the proper frame of reference to rate this type of music.

Not so much
Its moreso the articles deliberately leaving this point out
Mjs title of "greatest selling album of all time" WAS ALWAYS based off global numbers. The clout is that it is the biggest selling album in the world. Much more impressive and important than U.S only

It is still the biggest solo artist studio album anyway:manny:

This is an example of CACS trying it on some slick shyt:snoop:
Nah. It was always based off who had the album that had gone platinum the most.

The concept of a Yellow Submarine is definitely general knowledge. I didn’t hear the song until 2 years ago though.
