I hate restaurants and the whole "tipping" concept. It lends itself to this bullshyt. If you have a problem with tips just put in a mandatory tip amount on everybody's tab. But then he wouldn't have a racist justification to act stupid. Or just be openly racist and say you don't want black people there so we know not to come.

But yeah, I hate restaurants. The whole cultural aspect of it. Well, I guess I should say, I hate sit-down "formal" places. People really like setting up unnecessary social rules and punishments.

No, they give us bad service because of prejudice and then we leave poor tips because of bad service but instead of acknowledging that they gave poor service, they focus on the poor tip that begged the poor service.

Either way, I'm not falling for that 18% is standard. Why should anyone get 18% the cost of the meal for doing their job?

And for the record even though tipping isn’t mandatory you have to know your value as a person.

It’s not ok to help someone carry 20 heavy pieces of luggage up 6 stories multiple time and be grateful that they gave you $1.

For me personally I tip everyone 25%.

I support black owned businesss and make it a job to tip black owned spots even if there isn’t a tipping jar.

Treat me even better I’ll give you 50% tip.

It's not even about the tipping...people assume we dont tip so we end up getting some average ass server/waiter that has it in their minds that we dont tip well and it becomes a trickle effect. One of us represents all of us in other races eyes which I could give less of a f-u-c-k about but it's infuriating at times.

At black owned spots, me and my wife make a conscientious effort to tip at least 20%. At non-black spots, it's an even 10-15% based on service. My Uncle usually tips before hand, it's like priming a bartender, they will remember you and hustle. He handed this sista $25 and said take care of us, our drinks never reached half full lol.
