nikkas almost got me with the Primerica shyt. A breh in my Trig class started hitting me with the "bro you are intelligent and if you want to get a working knowledge of the finance sector..." It's the usual "you get paid for each person you put on" bullshyt. I sidestepped it after reading more about it online.

If any yall ever get the Primerica okey dope, don't do it. That's another Black\Hispanic exploitation scheme.

I always ask folk who approach me with this type foolishness...

"How much have you made from this so far?"

They never have good answers for that...

Telling me how much money I "can" make, but don't have NOTHING to show me to even motivate me to wanna get down with this.
One husband and wife combo had me come to their crib for a "party" with a few other folk. I knew it was some BS soon as we got to the "party" and they started having agendas and the actual "party" time was at the end. :mjlol: Sat me down and showed us this video about consolidating all my bills into one payment and how I can sign my friends up to do the same. I get money for each person that sign up with the company to consolidate all they bills. Had the whole spiel and everything, then they said the checks come every friday....

I raised my hand and asked, innocently enough I thought, how many checks they've received so far. They stopped and told me to chill and that they just got started and haven't got one yet. I just bluntly said that how could they sign me up and tell me about all these checks I'ma get and they haven't got one yet? They basically stopped the video and "party" and tried to quiet me and then basically get me out of there...I left with a devilish grin on my face. Hopefully the other folk in there heeded my warning:smugfavre:

this MLM stuff is so dumb....folks really think that this is an opportunity? For like the one in a million person who makes a way, for the bulk of people it's just a $500+ learning opportunity:yeshrug:

I shun family members and friends who come at me with that

I literally wasted about an hour of my time with a guy on an MLM pitch just playing chicken with him :snoop:

“How do you make money?” :usure:

“It’s a consumption model.. we get paid to spend money and then show others how... we get a commission on what we spend” :troll:

“Getting a commission on what you spend is called a discount” :camby: “how do you make new money, how are you netting money” :comeon:

“We make money by consuming and saving money and then showing others”:smugfavre:

“Ok so then it’s an MLM.. you make money by signing people up”:martin:

“No...we get paid by duplication” :hubie: “just like McDonalds makes money through duplicating a system... so do we”:manny:

“So I make money showing others the system and signing them up, duplicating the same thing I did, and they get paid by spending and signing people up and showing them the system?”:jbhmm:

“Yes” :myman:

“That’s an MLM” :stopitslime:

What’s the sad part about this is that it’s usually a white guy one to levels up telling them “no one gives minorities these opportunities” and they think they are saving the black race by showing them the newest MLM. They don’t understand that they are being used as a tool to penetrate a market that person does not want to go into, but still wants to exploit. For $100 a month you could invest in stocks, you could learn how to code, you could become a low level drop shopper, you could start a business based purely on selling leads you get from posting google and Facebook ads... instead they try to make you think that the only way to “boss up” is to sign up under some scam shyt by someone who is barely educated like that’s the wave.

Primerica was a big one a few years ago.

Some of my classmates from high school were on that shyt, posting “be your own boss” messages on Facebook and shyt!

Fast forward to 2017 and those nikkas are still broke and never mention Primerica anymore.

I’m almost tempted to ask them nikkas, “So, how’s business, breh?”

Young college students are their main targets since most terrible with money and don't know about MLM, I saw a guy i knew growing up bragging about dropping outta college 6 months before he got his degree to join an MLM because it was "the future of business" :mindblown:

But them Pyramid schemers take grimey ass approaches to everyone, like telling single moms to "be an entrepreneur, be your own boss" :martin: so that you can "be there to watch their kids grow up and not be tied down with a normal 9 to 5":rudy:

Or they prey on sick people .....like I seen this one dude on Facebook selling a $6000 water filter:dwillhuh: and telling people it cures cancer, diabetes, all kinda foul shyt

It's a shame but shyt been goin on forever and will continue to as long as there are stupid people and people who take advantage of stupidity:yeshrug::yeshrug:

I've been severely cutting back on my Coli usage to focus on other activities but this shyt got me 187 hot

So in my GEB1011 class I had a group project and the only other breh in my group was pretty cool. He was texting me about class stuff and what not, but he was also just hitting me up about the actual college im general. In passing I mentioned that I was doing preliminary work on a business plan for a mobile development company I had in mind. 2 weeks ago, after class he stopped me and another Hispanic dude in our class and said he wanted to talk to us about a "business plan thing he was trying to do" I thought he was another young breh tryna make moves in business so I was hype to find out what he was trying to do:mjgrin:

We were scheduled to meet twice last week but had to reschedule because of something on his part. We were finally able to meet today so I get to school, walk to the student life center and it's a group of kids there, he comes out the group and says "Wanya bro come over here!!!" We sit down at the table and he says "Look man, I see a lot of potential in you man, you're extremely intelligent and I know you can be great so I got a business opportunity for you! Watch this video!" He hands me his phone and the video starts and I see a mothafukka holding a purple "You Should Be Here" banner and the WorldVentures logo:gucci:

I watch about 6 minutes of this bullshyt and look up at this nikka cheesing saying "I know it's crazy right bro!!!" (I was smirking to hide the fact I wanted to snuff this fakkit for wasting my time) I then said "So it's multilevel marketing right?" and he said yes, to which I replied "That's a pyramid scheme my nikka" and he hit the :hubie:"NONONONONONO it's not a pyramid scheme at all!" I said "So from what they're saying, you make money by putting more people on and they gotta put people on? That's literally the definition of how a pyramid scheme works:martin:" Then I hear a girl voice from the group he was in that said "Do you know what a pyramid scheme is?" and she comes from behind and tries to tell me how she's been on 27 vacations in 3 years (BULLshyt BECAUSE WHO HAS TIME TO GO ON 9 VACATIONS A YEAR:skip:) and how I need to be an entrepreneur and boss my life up. At this point, I'm ready to punch a hole at this whole bullshyt ordeal but this chick was bad as fukk looking like a post-prison Remy and I was willing to take this momentary L for the greater good, but then she had to leave so this bytch nikka from my class had me watch the rest of the video which helped me get back to the matter at hand.

After this 17 minute long video I walk away and he says "So you ready to make this paper and change your life?" And I said "It's a pyramid scheme bruh, thanks for the offer though." As I walk off he says "CONTINUE BEING A EMPLOYEE THEN! IMMA GET THIS BAG OWNING MY OWN BUSINESS WITH OR WITHOUT YOU!" as if paying for a membership and a big ass one-time down payment while making barely any cash if it all equals "getting a bag":skip:

I got his phone number, I can't wait to shyt on this nikka in 6 months

:hhh:
