Uncertain grounds
Thread is the very example of this. Most of the criticism surrounding Bernie Sanders was with regard to his failed strategy in his presidential run.

I don't recall there being much outcry over Bernie Sanders actually holding up popular dem legislation, negotiating in bad faith, or sabotaging the party as a senator.

In fact, even Nap has pointed out that Bernie usually votes the party line despite his public posturing or his own personal ideals.

Trust and believe if Manchin tried to run for POTUS as a dem he'd get much worse treatment.

Ironically, must of us view him as a DINO. Thread is bad faith.

democrat voters repeatedly criticized Bernie for not officially becoming a democrat

manchin is a democrat

theres a portion of democrat voters who would vote for manchin or not vote at all rather than vote for bernie if heads up in a primary

thats problematic

What point are you trying to make. This just sounds like emotions.

I don't recall anyone saying don't vote for Bernie as Senator of Vermont because he isn't a Democrat. :pachaha:

Reading comprehension needs work on the weekends respectfully.

Can post a smiley in response to a thought experiment. Maybe they should do that at the Pentagon in war games

My work is done here
In your thought expirement
1.)Bernie would be running as a Democrat to be in the democratic presidential primary.
2.)Bernie runs as an independent in real life in Vermont and there is no push to vote for someone else
3.)in what world has anyone advocated for Joe Manchin being president
4.)Vote Blue no matter who refers to voting for liberal candidates over conservative candidates when they're on the ballot as a matter of harm reduction. Despite how terrible Manchin is, if a republican were the senator we wouldn't be having any of these discussions because everything that has passed, most of what is being discussed, and most of the better appointments wouldn't have happened at all.

Come on man.

One of my favorite HL moderate set debate moves is when they laugh at an argument they made up from thin air.
No, he's right. Why won't these Bernie Bros follow Bernie's lead and criticize Manchin as well. I'm tired of these damn Bernie bros and their constant protection of Manchin! Glad @88m3 is brave enough to finally point that out.

Bernie lost to Hillary who lost to Trump. Using HLs logic, that makes Bernie the worst candidate of all time

There are worse candidates. I recall one guy who dropped out in shame and scandal in 1988, quit in tears while in 5th place in 2008, and had racked up 4th and 5th place finishes back-to-back in the first two primaries in 2020 until the establishment finally decided to anoint him out of Bernie fear.

Is Manchin a good representation of the party as a whole? No

I'm sorry that pointing out the obvious to you is so frustrating

Of course not, but the Bernie Bro straw man you've created is definitely a good representation of Bernie supporters as a whole.
That's why its so important to punch left. Good call bro 👍

I created a man of straw? I'm not the one who is using this wide brush to paint the whole Democratic Party as this Manchin enabling and loving caucus.

That shyt literally doesn't exist.

Everyone I've ever interacted with despises Manchin no matter their race or age if they are Democrats or even remotely aligned.
