It's one thing to not like the Celtics and validly criticize them. But to act like the Celtics are a hopelessly inferior team that is intellectually disingenuous. Not to mention it makes you look like a hater.

Exactly, it just makes him look a hater who knows very little about basketball

My question is: why do you hate on Rondo and the Celtics so much? do you feel threatened by them?[/QUOTE]

:sas2: Awaiting the response.

What is he really saying though

We played three games...already getting hype off two high scoring games :heh:

Getting hype off ALMOST coming back :dead:

That shyt is nonsense to me

WHen its all said and done yall will lose 50+ games and have a bottom 5-7 offense

PERIOD

Im not about to go back and forth about three games

Rondo is not a star you cant go anywhere with him being your best player...

This year will prove that again

:stopitslime:

Spoken like somebody who didn't even watch the game.

Dallas got out to a VERY HOT start because they were shooting at an insanely high (and ultimately unsustainable) field goal percentage as a team. As soon as their shots stopped falling and the team was able to buckle down, play defense, and jump-start its offense, the Celtics started clawing their way back into the game. Rondo did a good job leading them despite having a tough shooting night (those 15 assists, 9 rebs, and 2 steals, though:leon:). Jeff Green and Avery Bradley both looked good, especially in the second half. Why can't Jeff Green play like that ALL THE TIME?:feedme:

Like I said last night, there are a lot of positives for Brad Stevens and the Celtics to take from last night's game. Last season, they would've been blown out and the game would've been over by the middle of the 3rd quarter. Last night, they brought it down to the wire...against a stacked Dirk-led Mavs that are favored to be among the top 6 in the West. That shows our team's maturity and great strength of character.

It's one thing to not like the Celtics and validly criticize them. But to act like the Celtics are a hopelessly inferior team that is intellectually disingenuous. Not to mention it makes you look like a hater.

To the first bolded: exactly!
Second bolded: Why can't a hater answer this in this thread?

You didn't address the facts stated. You just seem hating hard and haven't explained why. Who said this team was gonna be winning a title this year? Or even make the playoffs? Most experts seem to not believe it. But now a lot are seeing in the 2/3 games this season that the team has some positive stuff. So why don't you stave off the hate until the end of the season. You hater predictions are all you got right now.

In the case that you're not a :troll: but are just extremely short-sighted and ignorant, let me ask you this: when was it ever proven before that Rondo cannot lead his team as the best player?

You are making a baseless point ("Rondo is not a star you cant go anywhere with him being your best player...") and asserting as a fact ("This year will prove that again") and then claiming that we can't refute your point.

As mentioned before, last year was his first post-Big 3 Celtics team. And moreover, Rondo has proven that he can lead his team as the best player. Just look at the playoffs series against the 76ers, Bulls, Heat between 2010 and 2012. He was their best player--at the very least, that team's floor general. How you can claim to follow basketball and not even acknowledge this is incomprehensible.

You need help. Or you're a terrible troll.

Anyway gonna drop this in here

Yeah, its just 3 games. But its pretty damn impressive for a dude who is returning from an ACL injury, hurt his hand and missed the whole preseason.

Give the dude finishers and he's near the top IMO. He can't be a steph curry and that's fine, but he can definitely be a Jason Kidd and I don't know when being Jason Kidd was ever a bad thing.

I'd love to see rondo on the kings with gay/cousins or on Houston with dwight and harden or Detroit with drummond/monroe. Would be bananas.

I'm still tripping off the fact that Chris Paul just had his first triple-double as a Clipper in his fourth season.

I'm seriously starting to believe that CP3 is the most overrated player in the game. :patrice:

Universally praised as the best PG in the game but has never led his team past the 2nd round of the playoffs.:wtb:

Consistently called the best player on his team but one can argue that Blake Griffin is more of a difference maker, especially within the past 2 seasons. :dwillhuh:

Regarded as a winner but goes MIA when it's do-or-die and his team needs him the most.:comeon:

Almost all of his esteemed contemporaries (Parker, Rondo, Westbrook, Deron Williams, Nash, Kidd, Curry, Conley, Rose) have led their respective teams further in the playoffs with the same (and even lesser) caliber supporting casts that he's had. :sas1:

At what point do the excuses for CP3 not getting it done stop? At what point do we call a spade a spade?

Remember, when Doc arrived in LA, the first thing he told him was, "You haven't done anything yet in this league."

I'm of the belief that if he cannot lead his team to the WCF (never mind the Finals) this season, CP3 will be the PG equivalent of Chris Webber.:sas2:

Beautiful stats but not an impact player when it counts.

Are you willing to argue that Steph Curry is/will be better than Kidd?

Because if I'm a PG in the NBA, I'd MUCH rather be like Kidd than Curry. And that's not a knock on Curry.

Monroe's not staying in Detroit. You can thank Detroit's management and Josh Smith.

And I'll NEVER understand why Detroit gave Josh Smith that contract.

I'm saying rondo can't be curry because curry is an elite offensive talent and the best three point shooter of all time.

As a pure point guard I do not think he will be better than Kidd but overall I think he will he looked back at in a higher esteem. He needs to get better defensively though.
