Step up his individual performance in the playoffs.

CP0 playoff number 20.6 ppg, 9.7 apg, 48% shooting
Rondo 14.5 ppg, 9.2 apg, 45% shooting

Individual wise Chris >> Rondo, what argument are you trying to make?

Average damn near a tripe double in the playoffs

:mjlol:

Lead his team past the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Put Chris on those Celtics team, in an inferior conference, they have the same success, prob. better. I know CP0 wouldn't have lost to lakers playing off him and daring him to shoot :sas2:

Step up in the big moments instead of looking like a deer in headlights when the game's on the line.

:mjlol:

You basically listed a whole bunch of shyt that leans more towards team success. I'm talking about player vs player, what makes Rondo better? Chris Paul is a better defender, has just as good floor vision if not better than ROndo's, Just as good of a play maker if not better than Rondo. He also can shoot and score, which Rondo can't. If starting a team, no GM would take Rondo over CP0. Or Parker, or westbrook, or Curry, or Rose

you're kidding right? Rubio hate here is unbelievable sometimes. some people were saying JJ Barea is better than him & that he won't be in the league in a couple of years... and this was like a year or 2 ago

And nice attempt at deflecting. The point is that Rubio is NO Rondo. The criticism of Rubio is valid because outside of assists and steals, he contributes NOTHING to his team. Any GM who would build a team around Rubio deserves to be fired on the spot. Full stop.

Nice try, ni**a. Take away Rondo's 2007-08 championship year playoff stats when he was the 4th/5th choice on offense and in his 2nd/3rd year in the league. Then do the comparison again based on averages. That would give you the whole picture.

The point I'm trying to make (and that I've proven) is that Rondo goes HAM in the playoffs. His individual playoff performances against the 76ers, the D-Rose Bulls, and LeBron's STACKED Heat team show it. With a healthy Rondo and a decent supporting cast, you can bet your bottom dollar that Rondo will bring his team deep in the playoffs. It's in his track record. CP3, for all the hype of him being the best PG in the league, doesn't do sh*t in the playoffs. He's never advanced past the 2nd round despite having a bevy of talent surrounding him. He's afraid to step up and make the big shots. He has that Peyton Manning fever. But even Peyton got his ring.

If CP3 doesn't make it to the WCF this season, he falls out of my top 10 PGs list. Enough with the excuses.

what the fukk? @SuperCoolP_Cal ? where did I even try to attempt to say that Rondo isn't better than Rubio? I was saying Rubio's game reminds me more of Kidd... shyt, that doesn't make him better. I even said Rondo is a better scorer. Then you claim people DON'T criticize Rubio here which is a LIE, I point that out & you reply to me with some "proof" how Rondo is better than Rubio when I never claimed otherwise.

I get why this thread is 13+ pages, people try to have a normal fukking conversation with you & you can't even reply without attacking people because you're such a Rondo stan that you skip everything people write & just assume people are trying to shyt on Rondo. The funny shyt is that I probably rank Rondo higher than most of the people on this site. and that you don't realize that by shytting on Rubio, who's arguably the most comparable player to Rondo in the league, you're actually almost arguing against yourself on some level.

@Gil Scott-Heroin I see why u stopped replying to this dude...... And I actually LIKE pass first pg's.

Rubio<Rondo<Kidd.

You saying Rubio is closer to Kidd than Rondo is a low-key slight on Rondo.

I didn't attack you. If you can't handle robust debate, don't debate. Grow a pair.

And, so you know, arguing against Rubio isn't arguing against Rondo if you truly follow basketball, use stats, and are able to distinguish their playing styles and careers. Other than the fact that they're not shoot/score first PGs, they're nothing alike when you examine them both. But leave it to you to conflate them both.

And crying to your daddy @Gil Scott-Heroin doesn't make you look any better.

If you have bring up being a 'pure' point guard everytime you hype Rondo, then theres your problem in and of itself

but where did I say.... nvm.

and I never sai...... fukk it.

But you did imply that when you said Rubio is closer to Kidd than Rondo. So although you didn't say it, a reasonable person can infer that you were implicitly stating that Rubio is better than Rondo. This is when one considers the point you were trying to make (that Rondo and Rubio are comparable to each other) and you were trying to hold Kidd as the standard for pass-first PGs.

But whatever.

Who hyped up Rondo as a "pure" point guard? I didn't.

And your point doesn't stand because there are different styles of PGs. There are more traditional point-guards (i.e., J-Kidd and Rondo) and scoring point guards (i.e., Parker, Rose, Westbrook, Curry).

One style isn't necessarily better than the other. With that said, a PG is supposed to be the team's leader and step up when it matters (like a QB), whether that means scoring more, setting up teammates more, or playing better defense.

A lot of PGS who y'all claim are the best have yet to reach the heights (individual and team-wise) that Rondo has.

Westbrook: injury prone, liability, no ring.

Rose: injury prone, relies too much on explosiveness, needs to refine his game, no ring.

CP3: choke artist, has yet to make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs, no ring

Steph Curry: jury's still out on him but he has no ring.

Of course you would choose the Westbrook pic. Things aren't looking so good for ol' boy. I always thought the Thunder would be better off if they flipped Westbrook. Him and Durant can't mesh.

Rondo gonna have haters looking stupid this season :youngsabo:.

Proving all their baseless arguments wrong.

-Won't average 10+ assists without HOFs.

-His lack of scoring kills team offense.

-He won't be effective with average players.

Then he had a 4 point 22% shooting, 5 turnover game and failed to look for his shot to get his team back in the mix. :trash:

Then the next game, he cuts a 31 pt deficient to a one possession game. Gets 15 dimes and 9 boards while shooting less that 30% from the field. Team scores 113 points.

We can do this every game bruh. :sas1:

Just admit you don't understand his game.

His style of play goes against the most widely held beliefs of what makes an impact player. And for some reason, this drives folks mad.
