he said, she said...this is very sad.....did ya'll see picture of the ghanian player kissing a brick of cash???

I hear Ghanaians back home are pissed off af. you have sport ministers playing politics with this world cup, spending millions of dollars of state funds to send Ghanaian celebrities and party supporters to Brazil and this issue of money. Im sure the players saw how they've been wasting millions to bring party supporters to Brazil to watch matches on giant screens outside (not even in the stadium because of few available tickets) and said fukk it we want our money now. :mindblown: who does that, priorities all fukked up. im so pissed at such fukkery and embarrassment at such a stage. players could have thought about about the national image but knowing who they are dealing with, im not surprised they said no to even bank transfer, cash in hand only.

I love how in all of this, somehow, Liverpool lost the most :mjlol:

Worst of all though is that this ruling doesn't mean much, basically because of hero worship. Daniel Taylor had a good piece on Suarez yesterday talking about how in Uruguay (and probably Liverpool fans as well) the general population believes that there is a vast an interconnected conspiracy again Luis Suarez, led mostly by the British for one reason or another. The photos were doctored, his grandpa is black, it's a term of endearment, his shoulder ran into his teeth.

Suarez is so cosseted in Uruguay and by fans that he probably believes the conspiracy as well.

So this just plays into the grand narrative that everyone is out for Suarez, it's not a deterrent.

The only way to deter this fukker from doing anything else is a lifetime ban, or at least substantially lengthy.

But because he can kick a ball well and is worth a lot all will be forgiven.
Long but great piece I read yesterday on Suarez. Basically he headbutted a ref and made him "bleed like cow" when he was 15 and they covered it up http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/sto...nner-luis-suarez-soccer-most-beautiful-player

Glad its finally caught up with Uruguay. Tiresome c*nts like Poyet are even more deluded than Liverpool fans when it comes to defending him.

I can understand Uruguay fans being defensive. They're a small nation fighting above their weight level.

Liverpool :dahell: the most annoying fans on earth. They're always the fukking victim.

So FIFA is banning dudes but who's checking them for being corrupt pieces of shyt

:dahell: they're being investigated all over.

They ain't that corrupt either :manny:, damn shame FIFA's good work is being overshadowed by this Qatar mess.

Could someone more up on this story explain why the Ghanaian players demanded their money early? The way I understand it, the Ghanaian football governing body owed the players money (allegedly) and they asked for an advance on the FIFA prize money to pay off those obligations?

If that's true, what exactly were the Ghanaian players owed?

100,000 USD for each player, from the appearance fees FIFA pays to each country. the sport ministry have been wasting millions to bring mostly party supporters to Brazil, thereby politicizing the whole thing back home (got people heated). the players probably saw the wastage and said fukk it we want our money upfront plus they might have reasons to even doubt that they will get all the money promised if they wait after the tourney.

Unbelievable stuff.
Don't Ghanaian players have credit cards ? :dwillhuh:
Probably didnt trust the FA if it was not delivered cash, Cameroon players were about to go on strike because of payment issues. In the bonus rows between African players and FAs the players use the leverage of embarrassing the FA in a major tournament to get them to pay.
