Given the money left on his contract as a former #1 pick I'm not sure how this will play out. Maybe Carolina just cuts him after the season because why would anyone trade for him. He's owed 10mil next year, and 12mil the year after. That's like...starter money for multiple positions. Is anyone stepping up to pay him 10-12mil instead of giving that to their center, LB, receiver, etc? It's fully guaranteed too. bryce has none. he's had three good halfs several games apart if im being generous and only one of them wasn't in garbage time too

if he's a project, he has to get paid like a project. that #1 overall salary is already working against him. benching him before more atrocious film got out is the best thing to happen to bryce since signing at alabama

nah that's the reductive takes coming through. he was still never as bad as bryce. and if you can't see the weapons, then it won't matter. that's why half the fan base is starting to think frank reich of all people deserves an apology. he was getting grilled for all the screens and not enough rollouts when he knew better than anyone how terrified bryce was and how his already poor accuracy falls off a cliff when he's mobile.

and that's why he's benched - with all the new pieces coming in, he's literally playing so fundamentally poor that it is impossible to evaluate the talent around him and isolate improvement areas. mingo and xavier doing cardio because bryce will go entire games without looking 15 yards.

its an objective fact that he's always been terrified of throwing down the field because the nfl speed bothers him more than the hits. if you look at his interceptions, they're literally the same throws. if you look at his accuracy, not even justin jefferson is catching some of these misses. give the man his credit for being ass in the one place that would take literally anything as a positive. we'd spin more picks as him at least trying harder man lmao right now he's taking sacks and throwing hospital balls instead of going past the first down marker
