Panthers fans just yesterday were all “BU BU BUT he beat Cj Stroud head to head, he must be the better prospect!!!” :dead:

you'll see that shyt on the most desperate and depressed fanboards who needed any sign of positivity - and those are the same folks that are finally done with his bullshyt because the fact he's done nothing over the offseason is obvious

Was he hit too many times prior to game 1 of 2023 then? :gucci: because he's ALWAYS had these flaws in the NFL

the only difference between then and now is that he's got an offseason of netflix to fall back on and defenses have given up all pretenses of respecting him

geno, baker, darnold, heineke, wilson, etc all have at least had a good game. or even proved they can *manage*.

bryce has none. he's had three good halfs several games apart if im being generous and only one of them wasn't in garbage time too

if he's a project, he has to get paid like a project. that #1 overall salary is already working against him. benching him before more atrocious film got out is the best thing to happen to bryce since signing at alabama
Nah but getting sacked 62 times as a rookie would fukk your mind up long term

It’s in the Texans Panthers game thread or in the random thoughts thread. I tried to say things on the contrary, there were several fans riding Bryce’s nuts :heh:

These smaller qb’s that make all this money, why not throw a back at like a Brees/Flutie/Kordell Stewart and ask them or get taught by them to utilize their skills in the game to get better? :beli:

Getting drafted to the Panthers as a QB is career suicide at this point. Bryce is ass, but the whole franchise of the Panthers needs some major changes.
Agreed.

I think a Reid/Shanahan/McVay-type could make him serviceable. Panthers don't have a staff capable of helping him.

Flip side is that his upside is limited as a starter. He'd make a good backup with more seasoning.

Reading defenses isn't rocket science though.

I think he's over thinking because he's thinking about his limitations instead of letting the ball fly.
This is the same problem Dak has.

He knows exactly what he supposed to do and processes info quickly. His issue (against good zone defenses) is not trusting his arm and hesitating.

The reality is due to the QB market you are expected to be at least decent from the start..Hurts, Purdue, Mahomes, Burrow, Lawrence, Watson, Lamar, Dak , Herbert , Stroud and I can go on and on…the only QB who sat recently was Love..if you dnt show promise the first couple years then that’s on you. Even Daniel Jones was decent. The Zack Wilson Picketts and Mac Jones all got dumped as well after they didn’t show promise..

You got mediocre QBs getting paid over 200million in their 2nd contract..so in todays world time you really can’t sit and waste that crucial time with cheap money and that evaluation period..Look at Love he had one good year and he got paid over 200plus we dnt even know if he can maintain that or it was a fluke..

So y’all acting like letting a QB sit or give him 2 or 3 years the norm when that isn’t the case..nowadays you got 2 years before u done if that..

Mahomes sat behind Alex Smith his first year in KC. He constantly speaks on how important that first season of Smith working with him before Mahomes saw live game action really helped his career.

You're both right. It isn't helping a lot of these guys to he thrown straight out there.

But to his point Mahomes and Love weren't no 1 overall picks.

The pay scale forces the top QBs. Out there early. Hard for a team to sit a top pick 1 or 2 years then end of forced to pay them 200million because they had 1 to 1.5 good seasons.
