Let’s just hypothetically say this and the punk news is all true.. how incredibly stupid are they for not holding off on Black and booking an invasion angle with a stable consisting of him, a deranged Bryan and Punk
I don't think any of their plans are to recreated the NWO events from 25 years ago.
Punk will start with a MJF feud and probably build a stable around him. I imagine Bryan in a partnership with Page and the Dark Order in a feud vs Kenny and the Elite.
If true, I really wish this wasn’t leaked. Him showing up without knowing woulda been like Hogan turning heel in 96. IWC would be losing their shyt.
yeah agreed but since the Big Show debut when no one knew and no one was watching they said they were going to announce the new arrivals from now on to make sure they get the rating pop.

Imagine bitter "stuck in Summer of Punk" CM Punk in AEW just making the neckbeards MAD. That is the only way for his AEW run to not look like a fluke in the making. Just become what fans hate the most.

I get the comparison in terms of being out of the spotlight for 10 years & the age, but Punk is a bigger name with the current wrestling crowd than Backlund was in the early-to-mid 90's. Backlund was a regional star at best. It's not really the same.

I think Daniel Bryan and Punk are gonna get the FTR treatment. You can’t tell me The Young Bucks didn’t bring in FTR to beat them and bury them to stroke their egos. The same gonna happen with Bryan n Punk. Kenny gonna beat them both to stroke is ego and is gonna have them buried afterwards in mid card feuds with Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy.

I don't think Daniel Bryan cares about losing and putting anybody over he lost hella matches on SD to way less established names, and Punk prolly wont mind putting dudes over either, but if you think he's gonna sit there and allow himself to be buried knowing how headstrong he is you're out of your mind
