Bruno more black than whatever he mixed with. His hair definitely black without a doubt. If he could grow facial hair I wouldn't have thought he was mixed with anything:pachaha:
you would be suprised. My older brother is half flip and my younger brother is half samoan. Both act blacker than a motherfukker. :manny:

You asked the question in the first place,i answered with the words of khalid muhammad. For some reason you got defensive:hubie:

Man GTFO "greatest black leader" according to whom? Shut the fcuk up cac.

The point is y'all crackers are untalented, uncreative mofos. All you know is to steal, kill and destroy. How the fcuk do you even steal someone's culture?

I despise you fukkers with every fibre of my being.

His racial identity is unclear and a question mark based on appearance. Which is the definition of ambiguity to the T. Which is why hes able to cross boundaries and be so mainstream. I'm not saying the man isn't talented. I'm just saying his appearance makes it a lot easier for him to transcend barriers and be a mega-star.
And I'm saying his ambiguity is not helpful in the case of crossover to whites (who are the mass market) being that his ambiguity still looks like a mixed black person at worst and clearly a POC at best. No doubt he looks ambiguous, but not the type that gives you an auto pass with the mass consumer

white people like black music better when you put a non-black face on it :yeshrug:

the same politics are a part of why eminem was so big. if he was black he'd just be tech n9ne. an underground horrorcore rapper with great lyrical ability.

same politics as to why adele is so big. if she was black adele would be jasmine sullivan status.

we know what's up.

that's what happens when you're in a majority white / majority non-black country. :yeshrug:

the only problem i have is we as black people don't passionately support our exceptional musicians to the point they just become a fringe niche artist. no reason daniel ceasar shouldn't be bigger but since he's not making vulgar strip club anthems or makes music that "bangs in the whip" we brush artist like that to the side most of the time. we helped make black panther one of the highest grossing movies ever but we can't make H.E.R. bigger?

trap is cool but you got a lot of black people who ONLY listen to that shyt and the only time they venture out of that is for the weeknd or bryson tiller and that's a problem.

Not gonna front. That is a concern. Too many of us like beats and hooks more than substance.

I had a recent convo with a older guy who absolutely hated Bruno (he knew his music too) and agreed with the cultural appropriation but also blamed society and pop culture and us.

He said same reason Bruno is so successfull is why THE ROCK is the number 1 actor in Hollywood right now.

Everyone loves someone “Blackish” But not BLACK.

We give the Rock the pass so it’s no surprise Bruno gets away with what he does

So who’s really to blame?

Back in the 90s Mariah was loved by everyone Black and white but wouldn’t she be seen as a Vulture in today’s racial climate?
The difference is everyone was winning .

Same reason teena Marie and Lisa stansfield .

I guess that's their reasoning :yeshrug:.

You act like the majority of black artist put they're necks on the line for black people.

The people who write for him are black.
Alot of black artists do and some don't, those that don't tend not to do so because they know that as black people they're only respected in the entertainment world and if they speak up, then theyre going to have nothing since they've put everything into that industry. Someone with privilege is almost obligated to show concern and help the people who are largely responsible for his success. And I don't want to hear "he's not white he doesn't have privilege" he's part white part Asian and white people fukk with Asians and Asians reinforce white supremacy for the most part.

I'm talking about the tracks he's written by the way when I speak on his writing ability. Dude is not nearly as talented as an equivalent black artist let's keep it 100

That's a stale argument. When Jazz first came out they called it "jungle music". It was even banned in Nazi Germany.

These were niiggas making music with suits and ties but they were still called "monkeys"
