Had Bruno's music was trash, and whites only gravitated to Bruno because, they find his aesthetics more pleasing than a blk artist making similar and better music, then I'd agree. Yet Bruno is one of the few artists dropping hot music. Not only that, Bruno is a multi instrumentalist and is able to writes his own songs.
Also 2 of the three highest selling artists last year alongside Bruno, were Kendrick and TheWeeknd , who're both blk artists..
The truth is jealousy, ppl like the young woman in the video are actually projecting other matters and situation into this one. They're jealous at racially ambiguous ppl who could navigate her circle, and yet could go and do things she can't. No different then how lighter complected women have more opportunities than darker ones. The hot take on Bruno is no different than the hot take on Beyonce's, Mariah Carey, Rhianna's, AAliyah's, Ashanti's, Alicia Keys, Ciara's success...
AGAIN, BRUNO making HOT MUSIC is the reason for his success. What Bruno is doing now with blk music, he also did with wht music. I didn't see wht ppl complain and whine. For alotta blk ppl, when a blk artist is widely accepted and have huge main stream success, many blk ppl vicariously live through that blk artist and in their mind by proxy they too are widely accepted as well. Blk women do this especially, just go to LSA , and guess who's talking in the video? a blk woman. And she's constantly bringing up wht ppl liking Bruno, wht ppl buying Bruno, white ppl this wht ppl that. Thats what its about to them.
YET Chris Brown just dropped a 45 song album full of heat rocks... are they talking about it? did they have a round table discussion about it or the reception of it? I bet they would have, if wht ppl went out and purchased that album in bulks and raved about it, then they would be able to vicariously live through Chris.
