He didn't fight Matthysse because his opponent was voted for and picked after his fight in June. Matthysse was already scheduled to fight Garcia in September.

How was Matthysse supposed to fight Garcia in September and turn around and fight Broner in November? (that was the original date of AB next scheduled fight)

Or did you want AB to sit out almost 9 months before taking another fight when boxers on the rise typically fight at least twice a year?

154 may be best for Broner IMO, 154 is a weak shyt division he can be hid there like they did with the another shyt activity WW Canelo, and maybe in a year or 2 he'd grow into that division and gain some pop....

At 135 he can be outworked, you dont even have to hit hard to bother him. Honestly I could admit I truly dont know where he goes from here, he's food. he was clearly chasing history as only 3 people have jumped a division and won a world title straight away

He didnt duck 140 it was all locked up, Ill say he picked a convenient time to stroll past LWW and onto 147. At 147 Broner could have faced a Thurman or Alexander, Khan if he was concerned about being somewhat legit, they didnt even trust Broner vs a Alexander. Paulie and Maidana was his easiest touches and he took 2 l's in my book. Maidana lost to Alexander before breh, thats what they were shooting for when they picked MM, a exciting good name WW thats human and beatable, they misjudged picking that fight because post Alexander Maidana is a completely different fighter, he's only 30 and he's very much in his prime right now....
