You right. I think Gator nation just overreacted to MClain going to the U. Honestly, you can find a better qb in the portal, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Edit: I forgot y'all pulled Lagway. He's better than Rashada anyway, and he's less drama.

Yea we will see how it pans out with that. One encouraging thing is that none of the players Napier brought in via portal or HS for 2022 transferred out after last season. Shows some buy in. I like our 2023 class but he’s gonna have to knock it out the park with his 2024 class or things WILL get spooky

Numbers like this is going to kill pro sports..lot of the top prospects will lose that hunger as they already living that lifestyle with the money and social media clout plus college bytches…would be hard to stay elite unless you really “elite” in all areas including off the field/court like Lebron was

Yep that’s how i feel. Onlyyyyy thing I didnt like was us rushing to take Mertz in the portal. I understand too not going after a higher rated QB in the portal for a one year rental because they’re going to cost a lot and why pay for a Sam Hartman when no matter how good he could be for our O, we would still be an 8-9 win team tops. Just run the hell outta the ball and pray to gawd our D improves lol. I could see us as bad as 4 wins or max out at 8 wins

Go to the composite. Nobody goes off of one site’s ranking to cherry-pick the ones that have their croots the highest. Composite combines all the main sites (Rivals, ESPN, 247, On3) for a single ranking. In the composite, he’s number 59 overall. Not bad at all, but not a 5*.
