Because the state government is still too dependent on NY and Philly when it comes to revenue coming in rather than investing that same money into their own cities. Although that's slowly starting to change but still a long way to go.

Another reason is that a huge sum of the money goes into maintaining the state's reputation as a top quality public education system.

Buying property here is a must. Get what you can within these next 3 to 5 years. After that, It's going to be a wrap.

got three condos in the bag already like 3yrs ago moving out from brooklyn...I wasnt afraid of my own people despite the bad rep newark it has as brick city...but I am not naive

the properties will go up but black folk will now have to deal with ny prices

And so it begins. Any place within 20-30 minutes of NYC is gonna be built up and gentrified :francis:. Even my boy out in East Orange say that is also seeing possible developments by the light rail.

My neck of the woods(Englewood) is also being gentrified, and it's nowhere near as walk and transportation friendly as Newark. :snoop:

Weequahic park got renovated last year with a football field and new baseball field. But that was the county's doing since all the major parks in Newark are ran by Essex County (Joe Divincenzo)
