Flores is the one who should have hired top black counsel to argue a diversity claim.

Instead, he hires one of the most non-diverse, all-white litigation firms in the country.:francis:
This is such a dumb hot take.
He got the beat firm to argue his case if he wins, all blacks benefit so crying about who he hired is shortsighted. Its idiotically short sighted

No it isn't.

Why do you think all those landmark civil rights cases that were won were argued by Black attorneys?

Law professors teach in the first classes of pre-law the performance/optics aspects of argument.

Then again, such complete lack of strategizing is why the current generation makes zero legal/legislative impact in comparison to our elders who were always prepared.

Somebody ask this guy whether having talented African American legal counsel in a case involving race
doesn't provide massive benefits.

I can't believe I'm arguing on The Coli why Black lawyers can be an advantage in a diversity claims case...oh wait, I can believe it.

(CNN) -- The NFL hired former US Attorney General Loretta Lynch as part of its defense counsel against the class-action lawsuit filed by former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, a spokesperson for the league told CNN on Wednesday.

Lynch, who was the first Black female attorney general in US history, will defend the NFL in the racial discrimination lawsuit filed by Flores earlier this month, along with Brad Karp of the Paul, Weiss firm, according to NFL vice president of communications Brian McCarthy.

Lynch joined the firm, which also represented the league on concussion issues, in 2019. Lynch led an independent investigation into Syracuse University's Department of Public Safety in the wake of student protests in 2020 over the university's handling of racist incidents on ca

@Get These Nets I wrote last week that he needed to engage top African-American legal counsel to substantiate his diversity arguments. He goes to retain one of the whitest litigation firms available. The NFL beat him to the punch on this one.

You idiots are really arguing that an employment discrimination claim, which is unlikely to go to trial seeing as how 87 percent of them don’t - is some how the equivalent of a criminal case in front of a mostly black jury?

Do you clowns realize that he can add other counsel at any point of it goes to trial including a black attorney?
