Before his first quad tear HHH was a great worker. The match he tore it in was going to be a classic but because of the injury it's only legendary.

Hindsight is a mother. People hated HHH's backstage shenanigans during that era but no one was denying his ability. It was like Ziggler where everybody was like :ohhh: he can work.

The same people who downplay HHH's work will turn around and say Rock was a great worker. Really? In those days people considered him competent and charismatic. HHH was seen as the better worker. His 2002-05 run soured most smarks where they go back and discredit his ability. Even post quad tear HHH could go if he wanted to.

Hate the player, don't hate the Game. :youngsabo:

It was legendary that he even finished that match . He allowed Jericho of all people to put him in a submission with a quad torn from the bone.

If HHH never got injured the Invasion would have been pushed back since Austin/HHH would take the summer and most likely fall. Imagine getting all the big names in along with the scrubs and the NWO on the sidelines pulling strings playing each side against each other. No Hogan face turn, just the biggest man in wrestling and the Kliq :wow:

Kayfabe would never be the same.

Yeah I went on a autistic rant but shyt it was on my mind. :yeshrug:

The autistic rant would have ended with an angle involving The Rock pinning everyone in a 25 on 1 handicap match, winning every wcw title, and being praised as a once in a generation ring technician.

Unfortunately for HHH he will never be looked at in a 100% unbiased light. Between the injury and the circumstances around him blowing up (Stephanie, Austin and Rock leaving) I think he's somewhere between good and great between the ropes but nowhere near legendary. He is a damn good heel and his entrance and music was always :whoo: after he became the game :heh:

I go back to Hogan's story about the Hall of Fame in 2006. Hogan went up to Bret to shake his hand and Bret wouldn't shake it. Austin had to take Bret and get him out of there because he was making a scene.

I bet something similar happened at the Rumble

Anyone besides Hoegan confirmed this? You know how his old ass be telling :duck:

HHH was never a Great talent but he was good all around. There isn't a single person in the industry worth a damn that was made by HHH or defined by a feud with him. Every single person HHH had a good/"great" match with, someone else had a better match with that same person.

Disagree? Name one.... I'll wait :smugcena:
