Nah, Punk got that same treatment Ambrose did.

He had to lay down for HHH, Taker, Lesnar, & Rock. Imagine how strong of a champ he would've been had he beat them :snoop:
Same treatment? He won all his $hit from Survivor Series 2011 until he had that draw with Cena at Summerslam 2012 or the month before. They had him behind Cena on main events on PPV but he was booked as the #2 guy without question and was going over any and everyone on the roster. Put him over hot heel Bryan and had him stop Ryback's streak for no reason and in the gayest way possible in that stupid HIAC finish.
He stayed down for the real draws in 2013. Which made sense considering he had all time horrible numbers as champion. Really had no business being pushed that hard in 2012 in the first place. And it made no sense for him to lose to Cripple H but if he had a backbone, he wouldn't have went for that.

Love Bret but hes a mad man. Need to get his names right at least, shyt. Also, far as NXT, its one of the best things that HHH is involved in. Bret gotta chill.

I think Punk not actually main eventing some of the PPVs as champ is what made him look weak. That and the thin roster he was up against year round. Once he became heel it was even worse because he became a coward champ.

Dont think he needed to get wins over those guys to look strong.

He started off pretty over and big. I do think he should have beaten HHH since he was red hot at that time.
CM Punk was always gonna be alright. His mic ability is too strong and fans would always get into him no matter what. The wins and losses didn't really matter..him being political and trying to shoehorn into the top main events of 2013 were telling though. In that interview, he said he was that hurt and should of been off the road but kept going because he thought he could get into the WM main event...lol. Insane. Either you know how Vince McMahon thinks or you don't. You don't play your health over trying to impress that nutcase.

No they didn't. Go look at the data. As a TV/PPV draw, Bryan didn't move the needle, and in fact did LESS. This is not me shytting on Bryan or anything. It's just the way shyt worked out. You would have thought he would have been actually drawing since he was so wildly popular, but for whatever reason, that's not always an indicator of drawing ability in modern wrestling.

Punk had legitimate mainstream crossover and popularity and also didn't move the needle, even though he sold a ton of merch.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

Punk's hottest time was in 2011 and he never mattered more but didn't put a dent in the ratings or on PPV buyrates until they let him face the Rock and that did 500k of course.

Bryan definitely was drawing on all facets and was gonna get bigger. His TRUE top run was just starting as the #1 guy post WM XXX...they had Cena pushed behind him. Something they didn't dare try when Punk had his so called "mainstream crossover" appeal that you believed he had attained. They kicked Batista's return push to the bushes, had Cena behind Bryan without question, and Punk was definitely gonna get pushed down with a Kane feud on deck:laugh:

He definitely did have business being pushed that hard seeing how his pipebomb set the wrestling world on fire.

And lol at "real draws", why don't these "real draws" show up now and help out ratings when it's needed. It's easy to be a draw at Wrestlemania

It didn't set anything on fire. It was a internet sensation and it had the crowd SCORCHING HOT for his appearances. He didn't make a dent in ratings or on PPV. At all. You're taking Punk's little wild claims on the podcast a little too seriously. He eventually sold some white shirts but he was booked over everyone and got the last word on the mic most of the time in a out of norm fashion. They had Cena lay down for him a lot too. If he was on fire, he would of had the effect Bryan had post WM 28 and going a year later like he did. Bryan losing made him a star...Punk complaining about the WM 28 main event and not getting paid a certain amount made him a next level star. LOL. Silly. Of course that wasn't gonna last.

And what do the WWE care about real draws..look at the current WWE Champion and how they had Sting lose at WM 31. Get real. Everyone paid to see Sting last year and he lost to a NOBODY like Cripple H? A guy who comes out to embarrassing reactions on Raw over and over and over again? Get serious...

No doubt that Rock would've put him over nicely too.
