"I'm always happy to be proven wrong, but I've never seen any real genius come from Triple H yet."

and in the very next breath

"All the great wrestling was two days before in the NXT [TakeOver: Dallas] show"

:comeon:

His point still stands. It ain't like he trained Nakamura or Zayn himself.

He blames the schedule, but all I hear from his generation was how hard and often they had to work and travel.

Maybe they should allow roids and painkillers again. :jbhmm:

Lol, Bret is never, ever, ever going to forgive HHH for Montreal.
Nor should he. He's never apologized for his part in Montreal. Vince was the one who called him up to suggest induction to the HOF in '06. Kidd was the one who gave Shawn Bret's number which led to them burying the hatchet in '09. Trips and Bret have never liked each other, Trips was always closer with Owen.

Nope. The fact that the Main event of NXT Dallas was Joe vs Balor shows that HHH isn't all about the bodies. And we all know that HHH is a Flair mark. Bret is just being bitter once again.

That qualifies as "genius"?

Shawn was always closer with Owen too. The problem is H and Bret were never close on any level.

What does have to do with what bret said? He says that HHH is all about the body builder when all you need to do is watch NXT and will see it's the exact opposite. Like I said Bret is just being bitter and can't accept the fact that a mid card guy during his time is one of the most powerful man in pro wrestling today and that doesn't happen by just being lucky.

My dude, @R=G

There is a recurring theme to his comments.

Bret isn't just critiquing individual performers, he's projecting what he'd like the industry to look like. In sum: the ratings could be just as good/bad if WWE decided to book around more athletic talent.

He has a problem with the booking, not the wrestlers.

The body builders have a right to make money, but they aren't capable of carrying the industry. That's why he juxtaposed NXT with the Main Roster.

Bret is a shrewd dude.

A lot of what Bret says makes sense but there is one key problem with his thought on part timers...people pay more to see them than to see Cody or Owens. There is NO DENYING that Undertaker and Rocky are attractions at WM....the signs, the T shirt sales, everyone talking about them the night after. It's no lie or pretense.

It's sensible to push those there all year but there is no guarantee they will move the needle.
We went from this

To the charade of WM 32.
