Nah, most of the violence comes from the projects/section 8 apartments that's scattered all throughout these hoods. You got some decent looking houses in between on some streets, but it don't all look like that.
You can't just say "Cali" when we're talking about specific neighborhoods. Every major city got wealthy parts. Just because "opulence stares at you daily" doesn't mean everyone has the means to attain it.
I lived in SoCal my whole fukking life, and the West Coast is the most racist region in the U.S., only 7-9% Black people alone in Cali, Oregon and Washington we're dust particles on a screen.
New Mexico probably has Blexicans, Colorado (just remember "Token" from South Park is too accurate) is a parody, Nevada is mostly full of Natives and Whites, Utah is "suffering su-su-suctash! Yosemite Sam White". Suck ass man and that dude @R$MMETA said "OPULENCE" fukkING DYING.....go to L.A. for a few days, if you have balls then San Bernardino Country (where I live).
I dapped you for the surface level acknowledgement, but nikka if you even live here what side of Cali you actually been too? "Opulence" is more in the Bay/Oregon border, if you want that Madame Tussaud's shyt go to Hollywood, but don't refer to it in esoteric Whitesplaining shyt.
Southern California excluding the allure of Hollywood/San Pornando Valley is easily Top 10 in this country of hardest places in America to find jobs. We have the most gang violence known to man, police brutality on some parade shyt every week, both "Paper" (Typecasting in Hollywood for example, look it up) and Institutional Racism, bad water supply because it comes from the North, hipster cacs watering down everything no matter where you go, etc.
On top of that, we border Mexico and about 1/5 of the state is on desert as we're neighbors to Nevada and NM, another near our direction on the Pacific side is that stank, dank ass ocean.
But White people think of Cali as this picture, wow....

From what my friends in NYC tell me the roots of it are, but that shyt is all ideological when broken down. One of them told me it's just a Afrocentric purist's excuse to not being a "Desert dweller", yet still want to call themselves Muslim, but separate the racial ties. Like how they call a part of it "Medina", but stay saying Arabs are sleeper cells, and we bytch about racism from them.....
