I flew to asia twice, both times in coach. Depending on the airline, destination, and time of year the flight might be damn near empty. I had one flight on Qatar airways where I had a whole row to myself so I just laid down across the seats and slept. Either way take some sleeping pills or whatever and essentially cut your "flight time" in half by being knocked out for half of it
If you're flying into Narita those heated toilets after holding it in for 16+ hours will feel :blessed:

Nah, I plan on exploring but no idea how I'll go about it yet.

Quick note, the best way to approach a lot of these places is to stay in the center for a day or two, but make somewhere outside your base.

Staying in Tokyo can be a crowded, expensive, and overrated experience. Might be worth using a close-by smart city like Kashiwa-no-ha as your base and moving around from there. Book a modernist hotel like Mitsui ($50/Night), and slip in and out as necessary. There is a University of Tokyo campus there, so you're surrounded by a younger, discreet, and sophisticated group of urban goers.

I miss quiet nights in Kashiwa-no-ha and Kyoto over anything I experienced in Tokyo. Not even close.

Yeah I would probably pass on Tokyo if I go back. I preferred Kyoto. Where else would you recommend in Japan?

Visited China and Japan before

China- DC Dulles to Dubai: 13 hours. Dubai to Beijing: 7 hours.
Emirates Airlines: quite possibly the best airline in the world. That 13 hour flight was mad comfortable even in coach. Had an overnight layover and they shuttle you to the hotel (basic airport adjacent hotel, not some 5 star shyt). It was Ramadan when I went so the city was shut down during the day.

Japan- Miami to Istanbul: 11 hours. Istanbul to Tokyo: 11 hours.
Turkish Airlines: quite possibly the second best airline in the world. They hooked me up with aisle seats at the front of the plane on all 4 flights and I ain't even have to pay. Also had an 8 hour layover in Instabul and they take you out to the city for a few hours, breakfast and tea included.

A couple more.

You might have more fun in Osaka than in many other places, but YMMV.

I think this is a must, book a night cruise through the Tokyo Bay industrial zone:

If you have the dough, take a helicopter from Narita to Tokyo, or just take a helicopter around Tokyo.

Note: I'm not advertising for any specific company, I think many companies offer both services.

Been to China, Japan and the Philippines just to name a few. The flight isn’t that bad. If you’re tall get an aisle seat minimum. Bring snacks, airplane food is hit and miss.

If someone wanted to go to either China or Japan and asked for your suggestion which one would you choose?

Hit up @Th3Birdman
:salute:
He’s a vet in the game. He can set you right for your 10 day trip. He might even be in town.
:leon:
I’ll be in Okinawa from mid Jan to the end of March. If you come to the island, I know of all the good eats. I don’t know anything about the women.
:whoa:
But there’s a strip where all the military and foreign chasers hit up every night.

I'm down to spread game whenever. I just want brehs to eat when they abroad/in Japan :mjlit:

But I need to hit you about Okinawa. I'm going back to Japan in a few days and I'm hitting up Oki this time. I'm not as educated on Okinawa, so I need to know about the spicy spots lmao

I flew from Toronto to Seoul last year and to Tokyo this year.
That first flight was the worst cuz I waited too long to buy tickets and the only available seats were in the middle in economy. I'm 6' and had to put my bag under the seat. 16 hours of pure torture :sadcam:

Second flight I got premium economy and it wasn't too bad. I took a valium before the flight but it was delayed and I passed out in the lounge. Almost missed my flight lol.

Anyone that's planning on visiting Japan make sure you buy tickets and book hotels EARLY.

Flying to Japan was cool, from the west coast about as long as flying to the UK. That Hong Kong one though feels like forever. :snoop:

How’s that flight :lupe:

I wanna go to Japan but those 16 hours in a plane scare me
never been and I can't tell you what airline to take, but ensure to get at least business seating. Not for the perks but to reduce the risk of bloodclots.
