Original Vetiver - Nice. By very mature smelling. I might wear this if I went to a christening or baptism. Not really something I'd reach for.
Viking Cologne - Interesting. I don't think it's mindblowing but the orange lasts on my skin for a while. Enjoyable.
Royal Oud - Mature AF. You have it give it time for the opening to settle. It's not an instant OMG but it gets significantly better.

I'm trying to talk myself out of buying Papilefiko. I love that fragrance. But how many spring/fall scents can I justify?
I might end up getting it and selling Cedrat Boise.

This fragrance game is a MF.

How's this compare to Oud Wood or any of the popular oud fragrances out there?

Do you want a tried and true classic?
New for 2024?
or some expensive hard to find stuff that most cats ain't wearing?

Something affordable and good for now, and then what you or most people consider the best regardless of price (tried true classic)

I wish I could say but I don't know. I smelled Oud Wood once but I don't remember it.

Honestly for fragrances with oud or tobacco or smoke...those kinds of stronger profiles, I'm probably asking you for your opinions.

I'm in the deep end of the pool here and I'm not too comfortable.

If money is no object (200-400), I'd look at

Louis Vuitton - Afternoon Swim, Imagination, L'Immensite
Creed - Virgin Island Water
Nishane - Hacivat

The only new joint (like 2024) that I might check out

Polo '67.

And always get decants!
