I dont get why people wanna weigh more. If I could retain my muscle mass now and drop like 10lb of fat Id be <180, 5' 10" and fukking RIPPED. I think its better to focus more on strength and muscle size... you could have a dude at 180 this year look completely different (+100x better) at 180 next year. And quality mass doesn't come cheap or fast after a couple of months. I would be careful brays, don't get caught up in that dirty bulk scam
I can't wait to cut these 25lbs of excess *ahem* musclecuz being skinny sucks
theres websites and products littered how to lose weight but gaining weight and keeping it is a bytch and a half
I worked at GNC for a year back around '09 and coming out of college, I was 170 (I'm 5'8). Always trained and took supplements...
My managers start putting me up on a few things. I had the gainer (Mass XXX) and MHP Dark Matter for post-workout. For the most part, I wouldn't recommend copping supps from GNC b/c they're always marked WAY too high but Mass XXX was a solid gainer. Another good one is Ultimate Nutrition Muscle Juice (lots of good extra calories)....
Anyhow, I changed my workout up and started going heavier...went from 170 to a LEAN 195 in what seemed to be less than 2 months. I was eating mostly baked chicken, brown rice, chicken shawarmas, and foot-long grilled chicken sandwiches from Subway while at work.
Like the other guys said, EAT like a monster and train heavy. Throw some heavy squats & dead-lifts in there (safely, of course). I'm always STARVING after training on leg day.
I'm bulking right now. I cut back down HARD (intentionally) to around 177 and just started bulking a few weeks ago out of boredom to see if I could break 200 this time. I'm just using Muscle Juice and increasing calories so far. I weighed in at 187. We'll see....
I know thay i need to be on the weights but how about cardio... When im in the gym i usually hit the bike, tread, or the stairs...at least once per gym visit. Should i cut down?
I said the same thing. That jump is HUGE for 2 months. I can't see it being possible, but I'm new to this workout shyt.
Yeah...it is, but it wasn't exactly like I was skinny to begin with. I've been training for a long time but before then, I had never focused on adding the calories extra calories. I naturally put on muscle fairly easily and at that time all the supps and training were making my appetite crazy. I just ate clean, shakes right after meals and training, made it happen.
Everyone's different. I was caught off-guard but any progress (slow or fast) is still progress.
Feel you on that breh.. shyt is hard out here for a pimp... point is you can only really put on a lb of lean muscle a week so really its just hard work and a waiting game.. good luck to yaPut me up on game brehs
Im 6'1-6'2 probably 160lbs... Im sure i dont eat enough, only lunch and dinner. But i live that on the go lifestyle so i dont have time to cook proper meals. (was working 60+ hrs during the summer and now im going to school while still working full time.)
Anyway ideally i would like to be around 180-185, and yes i have a gym membership
