You don't draft a guy 2nd overall to match that description breh.
That description is the bare minimum a 2nd overall pick big should do.

The warriors aren’t asking him to be Giannis, they are asking him to do something that every big should know how to do, but he can’t do it and has an attitude everytime he does attempt to, that’s a bad sign.

Warriors would’ve been better off trading down, but the past is the past, and they gotta ring regardless so :yeshrug:

Disagree. Warriors have one of the top offenses in the NBA and it requires a lot of IQ to execute correctly. You see almost all rookies struggle in the beginning its just you expect to see more out of Wiseman by now.
The offense is, and has been, based on Steph Curry being able to shoot from anywhere. It’s a reason Steve Kerr’s record when Steph is hurt is ghastly.

Drafting a 7’0 athlete to run split action plays was silly. Putting him out there with other guys who have no idea what they’re doing is also dumb on their part.

Bigs are just a necessary evil to Kerr. That’s why the ones they typically have are old vets or guys looking to do dirty work. They haven’t developed a big man over there in 15 years.

When you put him with a coach who doesn't know how to develop young players, especially bigs, this is the result.

Got him playing like Andrew Bogut.

Mobley would be dealing with the same problem under Kerr

Disingenuous bullshyt. Just straight up lying for no reason. :dead:

Mobley came into the league as a great defender.

Put him on the Warriors and the league would be crying how unfair it is. You fools are lucky that their tank didn't coincide with his draft.

Dude sucks. How the team damn near up by 40, and you go -12 in 3 mins of Gametime? He doesn’t wanna work, and it’s sad because the warriors literally only need him to be a presence in the paint on D, and to PnR/set screens on offense. If he could just do that, dude would have a role on this team for years
i think the issue is that he is actually a lot more skilled than that

hard to commit to doing nothing but dirty work when you feel like you are capable of a lot more. if you were the #1 prospect in HS, and drafted #1 overall, you not gonna resign to just "having a role on a team for years" naturally

You don't even watch the games though, so how would you even know what he's skilled at?

He's not skilled (he has a wing's mentality without the actual skillset; he was never taught to be a big man)
He doesn't understand the game.

It's as simple as that. It was obvious before he was drafted.

I don't get why they didn't just take LaMelo Ball with that pick?

Because those bozos are gonna say “well we won a chip anyway — guess we didn’t need him”

Melo’s star power alone coming out of high school would’ve been a good look for any team looking to cash in on the hype.

Obviously Melo been cooking the entire time he’s been in the league and would’ve been a logical part of whatever their plans were post-Steph.

@Squirrel from Meteor Man trying to run a grift in here saying Wiseman isn't being coached up properly when he said this:
@Gil Scott-Heroin has zero idea about talent or basketball. Wiseman is the best prospect in this draft period. He’s been NBA ready for 2 years
You are the most clueless, casual poster here.

Wiseman is ready to contribute to any team right now. He’s been ready since high school.

Unless you are elite defensively like Mobley with exceptional size big men should stay in school to develop.

Wings and guards always have the ball in their hands.

In HS big men can dunk over everyone. They need to learn how to play against people their own height
