There no way this guy is still hurt :dead:
He played 2 g league games and was shut down. He’s been having swelling from the surgery he had on his meniscus. It was also revealed he had a second surgery that the organization kept under wraps

Warriors fans are pretty much agreed that he absolutely cannot miss summer league or training camp due to injuries. If he does, then im completely out on dude. He gotta play games

It sucks because u see guys like Ant Man, LaMelo, and Haliburton putting in crazy work and turning heads. Hell, even Payton Pritchard is putting in work in Boston.

Wiseman is the example why contending teams should never be allowed to draft high in the lottery :yeshrug: I bet you if wiseman was on a bad organization he would be looking like a All star because he would get playing time and not look lost like he does for the warriors. @Gil Scott-Heroin is right the warriors are hiding him because he can't understand their system.

@Gil Scott-Heroin isnt wrong about being out on wiseman. To thrive as a center in Kerr’s system, you can’t hold the ball for too long.

But if we took Haliburton at number 2, he’d be ready to contribute bc he’s that good. Ppl would look at the warriors funny bc Hali wasn’t projected to go 2nd overall, but shyt, the spurs took josh Primo in the lottery and no1 cards anymore

excluding Pre season, the warriors have played 154 reg season games over the last 2 years. 156 if you include both play-in games. Wiseman has played 34 of those 156. THAT’S the issue. Especially considering he played only TWO college games and missed both summer leagues and training camps.

Idk How much he plays if the warriors wanna make a run like they did this season next year. :francis:

Wiseman needs the ball, if he went to a team where the system was built around him this thread would never exist.

He needs to be a rim runner and lob threat. He doesn’t have nearly enough tools to have the ball.

Yep. Kyrie only played 11 games and was drafted #1 (was injured that year, foreshadowing :lolbron:) . Enes Kanter played 0 games and still got drafted #3

Man totally forgot about Enes Kanter not playing at all and being drafted third. I mean at least he had played some pro ball in Europe already. Still feels crazy that teams would take such a bet on teenagers they've hardly seen on the court.

It's crazy but I get it. Game film for these guys are so accessible these days and teams probably have tape on these guys from the time they enter their teenage years until draft day. They know everything about these guys now.

You still have to produce relatively quickly though, or else you get tossed to the wayside right away. So many lotto picks haven't panned out lately and are already on their way out of the league

Lottery picks are mostly about potential. :francis:

More experienced and conditioned players (players that played in college for 4 years) usually fall to the second round because they’re just a few years older smh

As good as Halliburton is, the Warriors would still be roasted for taking him at 2 over LaMelo. Even if we traded back the narrative would always be, “they passed on a star for a starter”.

Yeah that’s true. Ofc Lamelo would be a bench player this season, bc Klay ain’t coming off that bench. And then u think about how much would Poole develop playing with LaMelo. Lotta questions, but what we do know is that Wiseman is waaaay behind where he needs to be to even be a COMPETENT ball player.

There was a Reddit post, back by statistics, that stated as good as Steph was in 2021 (arguably better than his unanimous season), that’s how bad Wiseman was. That’s something u have to almost TRY to do. To be that bad, you basically erase all the work Steph puts in on the court. Steph pressures the defense and makes the opposition move in ridiculous ways to cover him. He’s constantly doubled and everyone is on edge trying to make sure he’s covered…and wiseman was able to consistently make the wrong decision, and be in the wrong spot defensively and offensively, That it makes Steph’s inherent presence on the court neutralized. That’s incredible, and not in a good way
