lol i think pacino said that originally his character was doing coke in the movie but they cut the scenes so it comes out of no where and seems out of place.

i wanna say that heat was the last time pacino and de niro gave genuinely great performances but that's because my perception of them post-heat is mostly made up of all the roles they did where they just played caricatures of themselves

:yeshrug:"Heat" was such a disappointment for me when I watched it for the first time ever years ago. I was expecting it to be Gangster movie on par with "The Godfather" movies, "Scarface", "Goodfellas", "Casino", "Carlito's Way", "Donnie Brasco" & etc.
That's because it's not a gangster movie. It's a crime drama

Why would you expect it to be like any of those movies. It's a drama/crime/heist film. Not a gangster filick :usure:

@Emperor_ReinScarf how the founder of #GMB aint seen the movie that had one of the goat #HOH quote :damn:
A guy told me one time, “Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.” Now, if you’re on me and you gotta move when I move, how do you expect to keep a… a marriage? …

This movie was great because you watch now and look at all the now "stars" that had bit parts.

:gladbron: Dennis Haysbert as the cook, Ted Levine the creepy guy from silence of the lambs, Natalie Portman, hank azaria,
Tone Loc :mjlol:,

I could have fukken sworn Jeremy Piven was in this movie.

ETA: He is

This bank robbery was based on real shootout that happen in LA
