Brehs does the movie "Heat" still hold up?

"Heat" was such a disappointment for me when I watched it for the first time ever year ago. I was expecting it to be Gangster movie on par with "The Godfather" movies, "Scarface", "Goodfellas"

Its not a gangsta movie; its not even in that sub-genre...are you serious? Its a crime thriller film and stands on its own; you ever think about revisiting it and watching it without some idea that its a gangsta movie?

Yeah it's a cops and robbers movie with more detail and nuance than you normally get in those type of movies..it's a better version of public enemies
