Actually nikkas is STILL hating on Steph, same Steph who won western conference player of the week who's squad been blowing teams outAnthony Davis needs to get his team a fukking win. For all of this talk about him being the MVP this year and how he's surpassed LeBron as the best player in the league, if a LeBron-led squad started off like this...... it'd be the talk of this site all day. Anthony Davis (and Stephen Curry) are lucky that they get to be crowned the best players while not being held to the same scrutiny/standards.
Alvin Gentry was worst thing to happen to Anthony Davis. Trying to make him into Durant when he's not a natural wing player to begin with. Gentry will be gone by the all star break.
He will never win shyt with the Pelicans, he should have been drafted by the Hornet, would have had a chance in the east to make noise

i think he'll be fine, people overreacting to the first four games, but i'm not like gentry's offense with him. this dude was hired for what he proposed he could do to get davis more involved in the offense and i'm not liking what he's trying to do to get him more involved at all.
its not just that breh. it's effort. I've never seen AD so lackadaisical, it really looks like he doesn't give a fukk, seems like he just gave up on trying to win.

That's my biggest thing. He getting frustrated quickly and ok I understand that when Ish Smith and Toney Douglas were signed two weeks ago and are now his main PGs since Jrue is on minutes restriction. But his body language has sucked and I see no hunger. I've never seen him get so lackadaisical once games started to trend towards getting out of hand.

I said this in the first few pages of this thread. Dude has no post game. Can't draw double teams.
You can't be the best big in the game let alone an all-time great If you can't do that.

It's 4 games. I am begrudgingly going to be patient. I am sick and tired of every year using the injury excuse but it is what it is. Our main role guys are all hurt. I've never seen a collective group of soft players in my life. It's either our medical staff sucks or we do an extremely poor injury outlook before signing guys (Jrue).
By the time everyone gets back (and who's to say given our luck there will be a time when everyone is back), we may be in too big a hole to get out of. But if we play good basketball once our core guys are together then I will be complimentary of Gentry/Demps. If everyone comes back and we still look average, I will admit my wrong and hope for a firesale before we become known as the team that couldn't build championship rosters around Davis or Paul.
