Well Garnett still had beasts stats at 22, and played in a much tougher era with actual competition at his position. Whereas there's no good big men left, and def none his ADs age.
As it stands he doesn't do anything better than Garnett, sorry I'm just not convinced.
To put him in the same category as those greats is crazy. He's not there yet, a 40 year old Tim Duncan is still one of the best big men in today's NBA, can you imagine what a young Garnett or Duncan, or Sheed would do?

Still think KG is the GOAT defensive player. His 1st year in Boston pretty much boosted the advanced stat movement because for years people were saying his defense had Minny at league average levels even though people said that isn't possible. 1st year in Boston and they had a historically dominant D-Rating.

AD just has it, KG faded so many times in the playoffs it's ridiculous. Even when he went to Boston he didn't win the finals MVP, the truth did.
I've said it time and time again when it comes to KG, he was the ultimate sidekick who was asked to lead a franchise to the promised land and it was NEVER going to happen.
It won't shock me at all if the Pelicans get the 4th seed this year with that garbage roster in the loaded west.
