Let me start by saying I stopped wearing my retros but my top 3 in order are 11, 4, 1.

I think a big appeal of the 1 is they are easier to get your hands on and less expensive. They also have a lot of uses. I see people using them for weight lifting, basketball and causal.

Cacs and hypebeasts ruined Jordan 1’s.:hhh: Literally, nobody cared about Jordan 1’s until like 2018. Jordan 1’s started really popping when the Air Max 97 retro craze died down. They used to hit the clearance rack and sit on shelves. Jordan 1’s are responsible for the gentrification of the sneaker game.:gucci: The Travis Scott’s are the worst because they definitely don’t look like they should be reselling for $2000. Ditto with the Off Whites or any other of these new booty weirdo colorways everybody wears nowadays. The only Jordan 1’s I truly like are the Chicago’s, the banned’s and the royals and a few other OG colorways. You look like a swagless knockoff hypebeast who didn’t own any sneakers before 2018 if you wear them exclusively and are older than 25.:unimpressed: When the sneaker game was a black thing, the Jordan 11 was king but was an arguable tie with the 3’s, specifically the black and cements. :usure: Black folks love J’s period. Any Jordan 1-14 was fair game. I can’t even say that because even the 15, 16 and 17 were pretty fresh in retrospect. These cacs and hypebeasts have gentrified the 1’s and to a lesser extent the 4’s to absurd levels. :dwillhuh:
You fukk with the 2's?

Honestly... This type shyt shows me how all the other cultures tried to bite NY culture...buy be fukking it all up.

When I use to be outta town as a kid.
People weren't as Jordan crazy or expensive clothes crazy as NYers or people from the tri-state area...

After awhile u started seeing people from down south start going crazy forJordans, started wearing timbs, yankee fitted hats etc..lol

But they was wearing 1s and nobody wears the ones.... Them shyts was the bullshyt Jordans nobody fux with..

It's like when I use to see outta town nikkaz with the Timbs with no leather at the top
:mjlol:
Thinking they styling...

Then white people got in to the culture and got y'all paying 100s of dollars for the throwaway J's
:mjlol:

NY did not put Jordan’s on the map single handedly. :mjlol:Everybody everywhere has always rocked Jordans. Them cac heavy metal musicians like Metallica and Anthrax used to religiously rock every single Jordan since the Jordan 1. Doogie Howser was even wearing Jordans and shyt. :hhh: Tony Danza, Jerry Seinfeld, little boy from Rossane etc. etc. Jordans were extremely mainstream until about the mid 90’s when cacs stopped wearing em.

I give NY credit for Timbs, Air Forces and even stuff like Avirex leathers and Coogi sweaters. But to give NY all the credit for Jordans is just dumb. Jordan never even played for a NY team. Jordan was born in Brooklyn and lived there for all of five seconds and NY nikkas try to claim his country bumpkin ass. Look at how he dress off court and tell me he ain’t from Snakebite, North Carolina. :mjlol:They rock J’s in the hood in every city since the crack era.

Come to think about it, :jbhmm:you can’t give all the credit to NY for Air Force 1’s because Baltimore played a major role in making sure the Air Force 1 was ever even retro’d in the first place. Back in 1985, Downtown Locker Room in Baltimore petitioned for Nike to bring back the Air Force 1 and DTLR started the flavor of the month Air Force 1 campaign that year. Also, in DC they were rocking the Super Timbs religiously in the late 80’s way before NY nikkas were rapping about them in every song. I’m from Cali and even I know that. What else? NY invented water too?:wtf: nikkas all too happy to worship the white man’s products he designed and owns all ownership rights to. :snoop:

LMAO@Jordan 1s never being popular. They were it’s just they didn’t release a million colorways like now. Nor did they have mids and shyt. Nike kept it mostly strictly OG colorways for the re-releases till about 16-17. Then of course when the last dance drop the popularity went sky high
I was tryna remember when I ever saw them at Ross's or TJ Maxx like these nikkas claim. :russ:

Wait, you really think rocking Jordan’s was some NYC culture? If any city claiming J’s as their culture it’s Chicago, and they can’t claim it either because J’s were the culture everywhere.
