I won't throw the baby out with the bathwater. While he harps on clubs and bars that, cost money that people don't have, there's something to be said for the lack of spaces for people to just kick back, relax and have fun. I'm sure if the question was "where to you go to relax and have fun?", more than expected would probably say their own place, and not just the old and homebodies.

Where are the places to hang out and just have a good time without having to be involved in some super specific activity?

It's the worst place for him.
Miserable goofy fukk.
It's very easy to make friends and be social, unless you live in the very deep rural south it's 0 excuse

Social media =/= socializing
I get what you're saying but It actually does tho, people just don't use it what it's intended for.

We're socializing right now, and we don't know eachother from a stick in the road. Most people in real life wouldn't just walk up to a stranger and say what's on their mind like how you just did. But online, people feel they could be social and comments or have their voice heard for whatever reason.

But I get what you're saying, but it's called social media for a reason you know.

It's false connection forming.

How many of your followers and friends in social media do you actually interact with at least once a month?
That's only if people choose to do that. I know plenty of couples who started off through online dating and people who made friends through the internet. My uncle and his wife met through the internet and they have 2 kids.

It depends on how you wanna use it, a lot of people aren't trying to be social and just clout chase tbh.

Me personally, I only follow and have about 250 followers on all my social medias. Which are mostly people I've met, in my life (I'm a very social guy). If I wanted to, I could send them a random message or just strike up a conversation because that's how they know me and who I am. My girl would even vouch for me, she says I don't have any shame lol.

But to answer your question, I probably interact with the same 5 people daily but it's a bunch of people that I talk to once every couple of weeks.

People just choose to be anti social in the social media age.

Wait hold up, that dude in OP lives in NEW YORK CITY and saying this!? :laff: :laff: :pachaha: :mjlol:

I thought dude lived in Mississippi or some shyt. I'm on the spectrum and this normal fakkit can't make any friends in a U.S city with of the best social scenes :dead: Even in Mississippi or any boonie part of any southern state there GOTTA BE Black ppl into nature, hiking, fishing, etc.

Dude in OP seems to be African, I think The Bronx has a big African population. He should find a way to link up from Africans with that BX borough.

Outside of a handful of cities and by handful I mean 3 max yes.

I have a conspiracy theory that they actually build cities down here in Florida to maximize antisocial behavior just haven't been able to prove it

He’s talking bout there are no third spaces where the same people show up regularly and develop relationships. In that sense he’s right. But mostly he needs to just talk to people.
Yes it's called community, the church and local adult leagues at the ymca used to be this, ppl don't go either as heavily as they used to

There's truth to what he's saying. America is a work first-get money country. Eight hour workdays, five days a week, 2-3 weeks vacation time, gig economy for a side or 2nd job, get a loans with high interest rates for the lifestyle, etc. The USA is a superpower because we squeeze every ounce out of the workforce and collect extreme amounts of money for the military. Then also the infrastructure is differnt here. There's only a handful of cities and neighborhoods that are walk-able with good public transportation. Everything else is car culture to the highest degree. You gotta get dressed, hop in the car, gas it up, and drive to a spot where you hope some people or the opposite sex is hanging out at for maybe an interaction or two. Or try to get it cracking online with social media. This is a good video on city/suburban design..

You mean like parks, malls, town centers, community centers, etc?

There are many places you can just to hang out.

Nikka is prolly a fukking incel. Having a social life is actually easier. Dude prolly just don't have any friends.

Find events. Go network. Spark random conversations while out and about.
the numbers don't show in any way that having a social life is easier now than it was before. culture and economics are a factor

talking on discord aint the same as having a social life
