This man is an example of unmanaged serious mental illness. It is not a choice, it’s biology- the logic centers of the brain are not working and these are the parts of the brain needed to consistently take your medication. I feel sorry for that brother- his life must have been hell.
Always take your meds. Never quit cold turkey. Don’t taper without a doctor’s guidance.
Psych meds prescriptions should be easy to fill/refill and the costs should be capped.
Regular therapy should be easy to maintain.
Feeling yourself lose it and being unable to reign it in has to be a nightmare.
