No, he has done a menial job for a long time, he got a gift from the store owner most likely.
He isn't going to get a store, a watch, or anything, because it isn't a high value added position.
But the thought and gift was appropriate for the position and the most important thing is he appreciated it.

So what is the problem?

The people mad and talking down on the xompany and the worker are thise miserable with their own life because they are going nowhere.

The projection is real. They cant be happy for the guy who is happy working a honest job and being reliable. He makes them hate themselves and reaent where they are.

Hopefully they fire you and you end up with very little opportunity for a career.

You arent owed anything but the salary amd benefits you agree to for your work.

He is appreciated and recognized.

Obviously he doesn't mind working there and at the level he is at, and he is dependable and a hard worker.

A job is a transaction. U show up, they pay u. You don't like the pay get another job.

Breh i remembered just now when i was in college i had a summer job. I was there for three months, they gave me a 50 dollar gift card on my last day. This was years ago so lets call it 70 dollars todays money. They gave this man shyt they forgot in the back of a drawer after 27 years. I didn't even have 3 months without missing a day.

My point was that the job wasn't obligated to do any of that. Its just like if I was a manager at a warehouse and I came out of my pocket to give employees a pizza party.

The fact that they gave him candy and movie tickets instead of cash or a gift card should clue you in to the type of person we're dealing with.
