Odds aren't great, however he did grab Ayo in the 2nd Round.

In terms of fit, Giddey makes more sense playing with Coby and LaVine than Coby and DeMar so I'm interested in seeing what moves are going down next after this one

not the same guy. Giddey is nowhere near the passer or defender Ricky was. He does offer more positional versatility and because he's 21, there's a hope that he's not a finished product.

If this trade happened this time last year, AK would be getting roses thrown at him.

The Bulls way is to refuse to trade a player when they're at their peak value wise to chase playoff revenue then dump them when their value drops.
