Giddey was an awkward fit with SGA doing his thing and then Jalen taking off. He was being used off-ball last year and we see that shyt not him.In Chicago he’s going to have the ball in his hands where he’s at his best ..This isn’t as big of a wash as ppl making it seem

They needed to make multiple trades. They didn’t have a secondary playmaker on the entire roster. They didn’t have anyone else that could create their own shot in the Dallas series when Jalen fell off. Shai was 1 of 1 on the roster in multiple point guard/playmaking respects.

AC already proved multiple times he can play with ball dominant perimeter players and run some O with second units. If they got him with no FRPs attached, this was an incredible trade.

For Chicago, this could turn out to be a good trade for them as they slowly transition away from the LaVine and DeRozan era. This trade signifies that the end of that era is coming...Giddy has potential to be an Austin Reeves caliber player down the stretch.

If Giddey gets the ball, he'll be good in Chicago. White and Lavine are good three point shooters. In theory, those guys should be able to play with each other.

Giddey put up big numbers in OKC when SGA was out but he needs to have the ball in his hands.

Yeah Giddey is 17/8/7 career when SGA doesn’t play. Obviously SGA is OKC’s future so Giddey is a better trade piece than a player for them.
