Two things
One the fact that you use the word consequence means you view sex in a punative light

Two you don't HAVE to reproduce if you don't want to - the means exist for a person to NOT be subject to a particular physical state

You can take a chemical to stay up longer than you are supposed to

You can take another chemical to gain more muscle mass than you should

Your ability to avail yourself ( or not ) of any of those above options aren't dependant on whether or not some other person agrees that you should have it ...and their agreement or disagreement shouldn't be underwritten by the power of government.

The purpose of sex isn't JUST for reproduction jjys like eating isnt JUST for nutrition- you can eat for pleasure not just for necessity just like you can have sex for pleasure

The idea that pleasure should have some consequence seems to indicate your own set of value judgements rather than anything that actually exists for someone who doesn't share your particular beliefs system

If you don't care either way - then if someone decides for what ever capricious or significant reason to them to end a pregnancy - you should be fine with it

Not to mention, giving birth IS a serious consequence because it's potentially life threatening. At the very least it will drastically impair a woman for several months, and change her body in ways that may not be the same again. So forcing women to carry pregnancies to term is quite a punishment.

Biology and nature doesn't imbue meaning into things we and other organisms do. The fact that creatures naturally use sex for purposes other than reproduction does mean it's not meant solely for reproduction. You're just asserting that's the only thing sex is meant for, as if nature is this thinking being that you can speak for.

And yes, people could die from being obese, but there's also technology available to prevent that from happening. Just like people could die from becoming pregnant... but that doesn't have to always be the case. This sort of apathy from people like you is an impediment to advancements in society.
