The problem with being bought by a network is they don't get paid the TV rights deals anymore since they would technically be an in-house production. So for example if NBCU needs to cut costs, they could theoretically look at the WWE department and say X, Y, and Z need to be trimmed back.

Their best bet is to sell to Endeavor so they can still rake in the hundreds of millions of dollars in TV rights per year.

The most McMahon-ian outcome is the Saudis paying $20 billion or some number that absurdly overvalues the company with the catch of Vince coming back to creative, which would make everyone (the board, shareholders, wrestlers, company, etc.) in a very awkward spot.

:ohhh: They following the Elon Musk blueprint

This shyt is crazy..

Succession is gonna base the series finale off of this vince mcmahon final chess move :banderas:

Unrelated to this thread, but I was listening to a podcast about the Sherman family murders (the father owned Apotex which is a huge pharmaceutical company that sells generics), and there was A LOT more similarities to their family with Succession. It's an interesting story. They found the father & mother murdered in the basement of their family house, and it's an unsolved murder. Surprised there hasn't been a huge docu-series about it.

Im curious to see how this turns out and how AEW/TK handle it. This is a power shift in regards to negotiations for a number of wrestlers, since they have no other option other than Impact or something.

Does TK have the balls to be more cutthroat or will he still let talent walk over him?

Lot of pressure on him given the show tomorrow is in LA.

You’d think this would be a good thing for aew, and they could really get some momentum if Sasha debuts tomorrow but khan hasn’t proven to me over the past year he can handle a big roster

he just needs to figure out who his core people are and run with them consistently
shyt before anybody does any kind of victory lap they better chill out...this is legit the worst possible outcome for the wrestling industry...

If networks are hesitant on a tv deal it's gonna fukk up the Dub's next tv deal....

If the E fukks around and becomes persona non grata in a niche industry like wrestling everybody is fukked since to most people WWE = wrestling.....

If the E is successful, they now have fukk you type money from the Saudi's and can throw around blank checks at anyone like it's the fukking 80s again....

SEC doesnt have as much control over a private company as a public one

What exactly can AEW do to take advantage? They have a bloated roster as it is without enough TV time to go around. They need to just stay the course of the last few weeks.

they're, as of today, a public company
Yea......but that doesnt stop him from selling the company. And when it goes private......he can probably take over creative again

I wasnt saying sign more ppl. I know bloat is a problem. But ppl already there probably just lost a lot of leverage in negotiations. Like the Miros/Andrades/House of blacks who wanted to go back to WWE under triple H.
